I love this kids form.

If you haven't seen Landon Shuffet play, watch a little bit of this. To me his form when he shoots its pretty much perfect. I know a lot of great players kind of feel their stroke and their shot, but if i were to design a pool playing robot it would be based off this guy. Anyway, what do you all think?

I was in Tunica and watched him dismantle Earl Strickland. He did it at the table and he did it mentally in the chair. The kid faded EVERYTHING that Earl chirped. (I'm a HUGE Earl fan, btw, but we all know how he can be). Lando was a complete robot on and off the table. It's as if he were soulless.......in a good way. :)

I'm going to paraphrase slightly, I believe, but at one point, Earl turned to the crowd behind him and said, "This kid.....this kid right here has NO mercy."

I saw Landon later and talked to him for maybe 1 minute and had him sign my case. He was absolutely respectful, humble and just.....nice. Possibly a bit shy.

I also talked to Stan for maybe 2-3 minutes and commented to him as to my experience with Landon and that he should be proud that he has raised not only a talented kid, but an actual good, respectful one. I could tell that it made him proud.

I teased Stan that he has probably had Landon locked in the pool room at their home non-stop, only to be allowed out for tournament play.

He is, indeed, a machine. If the nicknames "The Terminator" and "RoboCop" hadn't already been taken, it would probably suit him very well.

In fact, maybe "The Machine" would be very fitting for him.

I hardly ever log on to say much but dad told me I should read a few comments about me that were made on the main forum. Thank you both for the kind compliments!

Well deserved. I've never actually met you, LS. But heard this a bunch of times from people who's opinion I actually respect. And I watched that match in its entirety live and can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate your mental fortitude on display within. Well done, sir.

American pool needs Landon Shuffett to help set the new standard of class and precision....He has it all. Unfortunately for us and Landon...I'm not sure American pool has much to offer him back.

Not a problem man. I first saw you play down at Michaels billiards in Cincinnati and I was probably a six month old pool player at the time. After that night I pretty much tried to copy your form because to me, in theory, its perfect. Slow, steady and straight as a laser, with a perfect follow through and staying down after. Of course there are plenty of great players who don't do this AT ALL but I feel like while I was still learning(still am) you were(are) a great example to follow. I said it that night and I'll say it again, if you keep up what you've been doing you will go down as one of the all time greats. Good work!

An impressive dismantling of Earl's game on multiple levels. Very nice work Landon. Looking forward to seeing more of you in the future !

Duct tape. LOL!

Not impressed with duct tape. LOL!

Impressed with Landon.

Commentator:
"Earl actually hits these really good." Um...no....he misses.....LOL!

Landon? Yeah....he hits those really good.

Left arm in traction, right arm swinging a ridiculous fishing pole while wearing three shirts and swearing like a sailor=needs medication.

Methodically making balls with good form and calm and collected demeanor=hope for the future of the game.
