John Barton (JB Cases)

Maybe you shouldn't have ever siad that we ......

Best,

John

I gotta admit. If I had found anything even close to what John Barton is promising me I would have gotten it and told JB to take a hike. I looked at every leather case maker I could find and no one is offering what he is offering me. I just don't know what it will look like or how much it will cost! lol

I am not patient. In fact I consider my lack of patience to be a weakness. It even effects my performance playing pool. But the image in my head of what he is offering is pretty amazing.

If JB gets his ducks in a row like he is talking about here, there will be no one in the world who will be able to compete with him. But as far as I am concerned I just want my dang dream case!

If this case becomes a reality, you can guarantee I will post pics! Until that time I am just gonna bump this ol' thread until he gets tired of me....oh wait...he might already be tired of me. I got cash John! I will even play you some even one pocket and I don't ever play one pocket! But be warned. I might TOI your wallet! But most likely you will PRO1 mine!

IMO John Barton is the best case maker in the world (in terms of functionality and design together).

What he needs is a strict office manager to keep the business side of things on track.

Custom can be tricky. I really like my JB case. John built it exactly as I had instructed. However, I am not a professional designer or artist.

If you look at the cases John has built you will see some very odd color combinations, patterns and some things just look out of place. Most likely the custom designs and requests from clients.

I too had this wonderful image of my dream case in my head. A little of this and a little of that from different cases I had seen. When the case got built and John sent me pictures, I had him change the colors because it just looked too over the top. I also feel something is missing or odd in the design, but I can't put my finger on it.

Whats up ken , this was a long post . Best to ya rob

Felix my man! OB Ladies' tour at Joe's this weekend!

I also found some online brackets we are going to start using. Can you say real time updates?! Ought to be handy!

Come out and see us this weekend! If I get the stream up you can do some commentary!

I believe everything you post here. It is the only thing that has kept me from going ninja on him! ;)

I fully understand that I am more engineer than artist. I will try my damnedest to stay out of his way once production starts. But I am gonna keep bumpin' this thread until I see the white in my new case's eyes!

Ken

p.s. JB you gotta admit this is good press for you! Can you imagine what it would be like once I get this case?

p.s.s. I would like to ask for one custom feature. Can you build into this case all the CTE visuals I will need? Just stick them a touch inside the case! THE CASE WILL BE THE TEACHER!!!

Let's have a Picasso Moment.

For you Ron, "Colors, like features, follow the changes of the emotions."

For you Jack, "Good artists copy, great artists steal."

For you Ken, "Action is the foundational key to all success."

For everyone, "Success is dangerous. One begins to copy oneself, and to copy oneself is more dangerous than to copy others. It leads to sterility."

And finally for the pool players: "The more technique you have, the less you have to worry about it. The more technique there is, the less there is."

What I can't compete with on the table is your discipline. You are a training machine and it pays off. I can learn all the TOICTEBHEETE9090SEE want but if it's not done with discipline then it's not going to help much.

Is an action required by me or you here? Trying to read between the lines. Am I reading to deeply?

Interesting choice for me though. Check my response to one of David Sapolis' post on Facebook from Feb 20th.

"Words are easy. Actions make champions!"

Obviously, Picasso had a better mastery of language than I. ;)

It's for us both. You put in the action to take your game to another level and I need to put in the action to take my business to another level.

:-)

Found this on a site for custom leather fly fishing rods. I guess people with expensive high end rods don't like them to rattle either. Look at the choice of liner. :-)

"Hand sewn fly rod cases in hand curried, weatherproof bridle leather, suited to elegantly crafted fly rods. Available in colors of light and dark Havana or, combined for a perfect contrast between the two shades of brown. An aluminum tube insert wrapped in best grade Mali wool billiard cloth adds an elegant touch and rattle free protection for the finest fly rods. Case fittings are European brass."

Deal!

Got me a link yet to see what you have drawn up for me?

Nothing has been drawn Ken. I won't be able to do anything on your case until after the SBE.

That's disappointing.

No that's unacceptable. All you have ever given me are excuses and delays. Apparently you do not want to do business with me. Fine.

It is the other way around. It is you who does not want to do business with me. I have told you several times that I will make you a great case and put extra work into it because of being late. However I fully understand if you don't need want to wait.

Many of my colleagues are fully capable of making you a nice case using the concepts we discussed. I hope you get one of them to take care of you.

Sorry that we are not able to do your case in the time you want at this time.
