None of the recent threads did CJ start.
We don't need a CJ forum. I get past all the thread clusters by scanning and moving on. He's quite a promoter and has renewed my interest in the game. I certainly hope the rest of the population and the media take notice of our game and follow suit. We need to quit bashing and squabbling in cliques. Let's either have a positive attitude and pay it forward, or look elsewhere. Don't sweat the small stuff.
I selfishly don't care if CJ's TOI gets any air time. I've seen it, used it, and made my peace with it. Each of us can form our own opinions. Deciding whether we want to hear more about it is irrelevant. It's not our decision to decide what others want to talk about. When you've had your fill, get up and give somebody else a seat.
Too many times we get in a bind when we get the herd mentality going. Worry about what you're doing and get it right. When somebody asks you for help, you know you've accomplished your goals. In the meantime, let others who are struggling get a leg up and follow your example.
I'll take any type of pool related advice/info CJ wants to pass on. I would probably take business advice from him too since he has been way more sucessful at both than I have ever been.
Did a little quick scanning, and discovered that you can't find a thread in the Main Forum started by CJ unless you go all the way back to page 9.
On Page 1, there are two CJ threads, this one and one about seeing him on TAR.
On Page 2, there are 3 CJ related threads, two of which directly mention TOI.
Doesn't exactly seem "all CJ, all the time"...and he certainly isn't initiating the threads.
Did it matter who started an aiming thread on the main forum back when?
The point is that he has a lot of... hmmm... ah... people interested in his stuff. A sufficient number that keep the mill constantly churning. A sub-forum for he and his is the perfect solution, IMO.

Anybody that runs out that easy playing 15 ball rotation, i want to hear what he is doing and saying!
I see it like CJ is trying to teaching those that want to play better, to do just that play better, now what could be wrong with that?
The man is one of a few most feared money player that ever lived!
Keep up the good work CJ, i would have to believe much more of us like it then dislike it!
And will you, and all the others who dislike CJ's content here, follow him into that sub-forum, like many who railed against Aiming threads did after it's own sub-forum was created?
I have found that to be one of the most amusing things I've witnessed in my short time here. There were many who made a big fuss, similar to this, about the proliferation of Aiming threads, enough so that it's own sub-forum was created, to keep it off the Main Forum, and folks wouldn't be subjected to them.
Then many of those who called for the sub-forum continue to post in those same threads in the sub-forums. To me, it appears those folks missed the fighting. So why banish them in the first place? To keep the Main Forum for what purpose, tips and chalk? And SVB, of course. But nothing else. Nope.
If enough people enjoying chatting about it, enough to create 2-3 threads per page in the Main Forum, nope, can't have that, create a sub-forum, stat!
C'mon, Lou. You're better than that.
I promise -- swear to God and hope to die -- that if created, I will not visit "CJ World."

no, really

...I think my biggest problem overall is the number of people who post here ONLY to run their business. They don't buy any ad space and make this place their store front. It's disgraceful IMO.

CJ, when I ran around with Bobby Cotton, he always had a lot of praise for Wade. He said his great break was modeled after Wade's and how strong a player on the bar rags he was. He showed me how to squat the rock. It's a lot easier to run six or seven balls than nine.
Best,
Mike
I'm not sure if you noticed, but C.J. is one of the few AzBilliards members, who does have wares for sale, who actually does have a paid ad banners I have seen on this forum. I do agree that there are others whose posts may be interpreted as advertising on this forum who don't have any paid ad banners.

Wasn't pointing at him specifically , just the commonality of many.
(I should ad I don't see any banners at all with my browser regardless)
