Ebay laugh of the day

The Hoppe at the bottom of the page may be had at a good price.

The Mosconi cue, I believe, was made by Joss for Brunswick.
I first saw them at the Minneapolis BCA trade show...
..price was $500

yea, but this a Masconi...which is much more valuable and rare, hence the $8K.

100% for sure this cue was not made by JOSS.

Although the price is certainly insane, there are several interesting points about the cue. Anybody see them?

.

I couldn't resist:

Was this cue actually used by Mosconi? Do you have any documentation authenticating your description? If you don't, you have the decimal point in the wrong place, $79.95 maybe...and that's a BIG maybe!

I wouldn't give him the idea that even documentation of his description would support his price. It wouldn't. Even if the story is exactly correct the price is out of line.

Interesting points:

Does this look like a three point cue?

Does it look like vinyl veneers?

.

Looks to have three points and vinyl veneers, hum?

Obviously the Mosconi sticker was added at some point, but I'll go out on a limb and guess the joint collars and maybe the shaft aren't original either.

Could this be an old Viking from the early 80's

...maybe a Viking B95

You can also see a line in the finish half way up the forearm...so yeah...it looks like the signature was an afterthought.

Viking? Maybe so. Three points with vinyl veneers could be seventies or eighties Viking. There are more obscure cues with those features as well I think.

The mushroom style bumper also points to Viking.

It is a curiosity for sure with those features pointed out.

If this cue can be authenticated as a Viking from the early 80's with a post-date Mosconi decal, I'm a buyer at $8995...Buy It Now
