Carolina Custom classic design FS

Greetings,

I am selling this Carolina Custom (the same cue as here, only with 3 shafts).

$(Sold) shipped in continental U.S. (Cue + shafts only, case not included... I was just showing you all how it has been stored. Also, I've had a couple of trade offers, and I should have specified up front that I'm not interested in any trades at this time.)

Like all CCs that I have ever had, this one hits really well. However, I haven't been playing with it, and it has just been sitting in the case for quite a while, so someone should be getting some good out of it.

I had Trevor make CC JPs for the butt and all three shafts:

This is a classic design, beautifully executed by Carolina Custom:

3/8" joint
diamonds are ivory, butt cap is not, nor are the ferrules...
Butt = 15.3oz
Shaft 1 = 3.7oz/12.8mm
Shaft 2 = 3.7oz/12.9mm
Shaft 3 = 3.7oz/13.0mm

Two of the three shafts have some finish problems at the joint. I am lowering my asking price some because of that. Further, if you send in the two shafts and have Trevor rework the finish, just have him send me the bill (I'm sure it won't be much).

When pricing the cue, remember that it has JPs and a 3rd shaft added.

Finally, I've had a number of PMs asking for my 'bottom-line' price. I have quite a bit more than $(Sold) in this cue and JPs. This, and the fact that I'm open to paying Trevor for the finish rework on two of the shafts, makes $(Sold) my bottom-line. (In fact, I'm regretting, a little, that I only put $(Sold) on it, but there it is...)

p.s. On the subject of the Longoni case, it turns out that this is one of those Limited Edition Predator cases by Longoni, and, yeah, it is pretty cool. I only have one problem with those cases, and that is that, while the case offers good protection, the foam holders are loose enough that lateral impacts tend to dislodge the cues. I place a piece of foam over the openings before closing the case to keep that from happening, and it works well (I think that probably all the Longoni cases suffer from this problem - they probably should have devised some sort of hold-down mechanism to address that, or just made the foam tighter).

Typical of CC cues

I am on my 2nd Carolina and never seen a finish issue or on the other few I have seen...Was this user related damage or shipped out that way? I know if there was an issue with a cue Trevor would surely remedy. Very nice hitting~beautiful cues that are not overblown price wise. Cues with this much work from others would surely retail @ a couple grand. Always wondered why they dont get the ink that high end builders do? maybe more popular on the right coast region or maybe they have not been around long enough? Dont see many around this area.

I hesitate to respond because I don't want to incur the wrath of the bump police, but I have to agree with 'zrx replica', I've had half a dozen CC cues, and this is the first time I've seen this. It kind of looks like there may have been a little too much finish applied (?), although I'm not a finish expert.

And it's just the shafts, the cue itself shows no such issue...

I like how they use the Old School Tasc,Bushka, influence with traditional design. I understand they also build most their own splices in house which if correct, props to them. A friend now owns my 1st CC and likes the hit as much as his 'Ol Southwests and he's been a player 40 plus years...

Wow, that is one of the sweetest classy designs I have seen in a while. GLWS but I suspect you are not going to need it.

I was asked to add a picture of the veneers. I don't have the greatest photo setup, so this is the best I could get:

Hope those are helpful.

It is quite a nice veneer combination (i.e., better than these pics :embarrassed2:).

Typical of CC cues

Not my experience...my CC's finish is flawless, except for a couple of dings I made...:embarrassed2: My favorite cuemaker, $825 is very lowball price for this cue; Trevor would charge you a lot more than that for a similar cue new, especially with three shafts. And, yes, the hit/feedback/feel on these cues are fantastic, very old school!

bumping while watching Selby v. Murphy in the China Open Semi's... Currently 3-1, Selby:

Though, by the time I finished this post, Selby had made it 4-1 and was on his way to making it 5-1... He's just dominating Murphy.

This is a beautiful CC. It is nicely balanced, and a solid player; and, if I hadn't found this one, I would be keeping it. I'll always have a CC in my rotation of playing cues... I guess I'm just tuned in to their distinctive qualities.

That is my favorite CC (your link), second only to my CC. I love the brown color scheme, really classy.;)
