First, Stan did a great job with the videos...and the banking video is the most impressive IMO.
Dave did a similar video a few years ago, I argued that he still knew where the pocket was, I was challenged to prove that it could be done without CTE.. I did it and posted a video.
Neither Dave or myself were 100% accurate, however, I said then and I still say, there is enough other visual references to allow you to hit the pocket, and there is still enough of the table visible in Stan's video for your mind to fill in the missing pieces.
This is not a knock on Stan or CTE, I do not care which tools you use as long as you get the job done. Stan obviously knows his tools, and has mastered them.
I am fairly certain however I could set it up to where he could not pocket or bank the balls by removing the view of the rails. Think of it as being in a row boat in the middle of the ocean, which direction do you row? If you use the sun or stars you can get somewhere, however on a cloudy night you may go in circles.
Dave is a good player and I'm guessing you are as well. The people who will benefit the most from an aiming system are B/C/D players. People who struggle running out with 5 balls on the table. If you pocket balls fine enough, then move on. You don't need the system. Aiming systems are just means to an end and people do different things and have the same results. I honestly don't think Stevie Moore benefits AT ALL from pro one. He was pocketing balls on an expert level long before any of this. But what it can do to a bangers game is huge. They just gotta trust it.
The biggest issue I've seen from people who think this is all BS is one of two things. 1. they say it will not work on 100% of shots. 2. they think it's a money making scheme and they're not buying it.
Truth is, 1. nobody makes 100% of the shots they shoot... even if they're aiming correctly. If it works on 90% of the shots, that's pretty strong. 2. Almost all of this info is out there, free. The ones that sell the info are lucky to make a few bucks on it. I'm currently editing an aiming video with Shane and I just hope to break even. I learned enough from during the shoot, that it's worth it either way.
