That's pretty good, his knowledge of position play is impressive. It took my son from 8 to about 12 to learn to move the ball like that. I'd love to see him play when he gets taller.

All he needs now is a sponsor like Cuetec Cues and he can be a touring pro in the USA.:idea2:

I'll bet he's using an aiming system that he learned from a DVD. I thought I saw him pivoting before each shot.

I know you are kidding but pivoting will just get you laughed at in the Philippines. Honest. They run out well enough without the fancy stuff.

Anyone else notice how long his stroke is and how he curls his hand inward during his follow through?

So what your saying is that they laugh at Bustamante in the Phillipines? That's hard to believe.

I think it's cool that, after he misses the kick on the 9, he puts the 9 back where the 8 was, nails it and gets perfect shape where the 9 would've been.

The forethought of a 10 year old just doing something simple like setting the shot up again tells me he really loves playing and wants to improve.

Definitely somebody to watch in years to come if he stays with it.

ok now i REALLY hate him...

proof that some are just born with more natural talent. PERIOD!

I agree some are born with more natural talent than others, but we really have no idea how much pool the kid has played. He's actually a bit older than he looks (being 10). If you took just about any 5 year old with even average coordination, and had them play pool for hours a day (with instruction), and surrounded them with talented players, I bet they could play pretty close to this.

Not looking to start another nature vs. nuture debate, but I do wonder how many hours the kid has spent on the pool table. How ever many it is, it looks like he's enjoying them.

well considering that I have socks older than he is...

I don't know anything about him but it's clear he's naturally gifted, his stroke already has that "look" . Some people play for 60 years and never have a stroke like that, regardless of how much instruction they receive.

I'm pretty sure he'd kick my ass already. kinda makes me sick to my stomach actually

A lot of lefties are gifted with natural strokes.

That was impressive, he has a ton a raw ability.

I know I am going to catch hell for saying this but I thought his stroke needs a lot of work. It's fluid but has problems that will likely cause him trouble down the road. I would say most of this is attributed to his size. As he grows older that same stroke will not grow with him and will cause him problems.

But the bottom line is he is pocketing balls and having fun and that's what it is all about.
