If you can send them over to me I'd be happy to post them to this thread for you... otherwise it will be hard to get any value, based on description alone!

Good luck with your sale! These are Great cues!

:) Martini Dreams

Ah... The 3 Olive McDermott! :) The inlays in the butt of the D26 always looked like 3 olives on a toothpick to me. And that's when I knew, I needed to lay off the sauce. ;) Hope you are doing good my brother! Best wishes to you and yours!

I just picked up a D16 with some flaking on the shaft joint collar and the butt cap. McDermott book on the cue @100% condition is $680. I'm in it for $295 and the refinish by McDermott is $250. I paid too much for it.

From your description the cue probably will need a refinish, and if the butt really cracked and needs to be replaced and not just refinished, it will cost another $80 for a new butt cap.

Hope this helps you set your price point.

While I feel like I paid too much for my cue, I cannot wait to get it back and put it into play.

Remember, your cuee is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

funny, I'm in the same boat with my D 16 , I'd never sell it anyway and knew I was putting more into it than it is worth, but it's juts a great cue, love the D series. I'm interested in this D 26, as I've never owned one. I book values on these are silly wrong, IMO

I've sent mine in for the refinish and I added the I2 upgrade so I am actually in it $695. I am going with the white with green spec wrap. It's going to be my main player, and I will have no intention on selling it.

D26 is a great looking cue (love the olive analogy) and for the right price worth a refinish.

The OP should get some pics up here so we can see what we're dealing with.

From the looks of these Pic's I'm wondering if this is a Retro release version?

retro price.....

With a crack in the butt I think that price is pretty close. I have seen perfect ones go for around $300. Some of them did have two shafts, but in the end it is worth what someone will pay you.

This is not a model D-26, those were made in the 80s. The model number is M65C and it was made from 2006-2009. GLWS
