Modification of Existing Cue Design.

Hi, i've been having this idea for a long time but I can't seems to get any information from the internet, so......

Just wanna ask is it possible to modify an existing cue's design into something else,such as change it from 4 points cue to 6 points and add some veneers in it.

I'm not sure if that's possible, please advice me on this, thanks very much

It could be done. The existing forearm would be cut off, and a new forearm would be fitted to the old handle. In the end, it probably wouldn't cost much more to have an entirely new butt made though.

:grin: I asked because I don't plan to change my cue anytime soon, but I was wanted to add some veneers to my plain black points, but anywayz, I guess the amount i would pay for modification might as well add a bit more get a new butt.

But I would try asking my cue maker on his opinion, I bet he will just tell me to get another butt :grin:

I was thinking like what eightballjunkie suggested, cut away the forearm and redo the points and stuff, but I wasn't sure.

So I guess I can't be done then
