This year being the 20th anniversary of the book, what is Anigoni up to? Best book on pool I have ever read. Considering I haven't read Pool Wars yet. Which I'm dying to.

I read in this forum about him not paying players for a tournament. Not sure what ever became of that.

I liked POR too, I'd love a copy of pool wars but I'm lazy so I can't buy it. That would require searching for it. :-)

I would consider splitting it with you. I'll find it then give it to you when I'm done. I hear it's awesome.

Didn't Jay Helfert write Pool Wars? And isn't he a very active member of the forums?

Send him a PM and ask about the book.

Jay's book is very good and he is a very good guy to deal with. He has a website as well. Cotton's book is also very good. It is very well written, I bought a copy from Freddy "The Beard" Bentivegna. I highly recommend both books.

Playing off the Rail

Just finished this book about two weeks ago. Loved it. I will definitely check out these others as well.

While I know this is true stories, it really is unbelievable.

Gerald, has this time of pool gone forever?

Great book BTW, I have read it many times, I probably owe you more...LOL.

Hey players read my book, money back gaurantee ! It's funny, scary, sad and sexy !!! www.confessionsofapoolhustler.com

this is a solid book too!!!! real solid, and because my pic is in it i really have to recommend it:D, on the square it is a great book!!! I have played Cotton more hours of pool than anyone else. I was there when he wrote the book, its great and ALL TRUE, same for Jays book Pool War's-all real stuff, not exaggerated fiction.

I recommend all the books mentioned in this thread, all good reads.

But, buy 'Playing off the Rail' to possibly help the players that got 'stiffed' by Tony Annigoni.

Approximately $20,000 is still owed to the players. If Mr. Annigoni gets any residual payments from the book sales, he just might pay off these players...

it could happen;)

Or he could end up next to Jimmy Hoffa......

I believe Annigoni is somehow involved with the Two Cushion Club in Fairfield, CA. whether it be some kind of partner, manager or house pro. According to the website http://www.tccfairfield.com . he is available for lessons starting @ $65 per hour.
It's really a shame that the players didn't get paid!!!! Like the saying goes- Money is the root of all evil.

Pool Wars is still available on my website, jayhelfert.com
"My baby needs a new pair of shoes!"
