They're awesome and worth the price, IMHO. Shafts play REALLY good, but they are on the high end of deflection...that said, their hit is something special. Better than anything in their class, they use very good, high grade aged maple with tight grains and little/no run off. My two Schon shafts are over 20 years old and laser straight. I had them turned down from 13mm to about 12.5 mm many years ago, and they still play fantastic. I play with a Gulyassy shaft on my CC now, but I cheated on her and took my Schon out the other night for a 14.1 tournament and fell in love all over again. There's a reason it was my main player for 15 years...

All I can say is find someone who has one and try it out. You'll see why.
 
A Schon shaft and a Predator Shaft are polar opposites and play nothing
alike.There butts are super solid though.

I was referring to pred and schon in terms of deflection differences!

I play with a cuetec r360 so deflection is more than a 314 I'm looking for that stiff hit.

Can't go wrong with the Predator -Schon Combo.This combo has
been popular for years.
 
Let me add to the kudos! I have a few Schon cues and for the price, fit and finish, they are hard to beat. I'm not a LD shaft player, I am happy with the Schon shafts when I decide to bring one out and play. They mostly sit awaiting for my youngest to get serious about playing. As for the Schon/Predator combo...I see so many that you can't go wrong. Good luck...You just can't go wrong with a Schon!
 
I like my Schon best after I started installing Kamui Black Soft tips on it.
They make awesome ques.
I think they come with a Schon hard tip but try the KBS and you're in cueball control heaven.
