Which make and model juicer do you have? How many times a day are you juicing? How long were you juicing before you began losing weight?

As someone that has lost almost 70 lbs since Jan. 7 I concur. I feel better playing and definately has helped my back.

I lost 27 lbs in the last 2 months. I feel so much better. I can breath much better and the humidity doesn't bother me much at all now. I haven't had to take anything for pain for my joints and back. I have not had a blood presser pill in weeks. I can play pool for more than an hour at a time, maybe a lot more...I don't want to push it yet. I was 185 lbs, now down to 158 lbs. I was 156 lbs when I got out of the Army 50 years ago. I can see a big difference in my game. I have no beer belly to get in the way anymore and can reach shots that I needed the bridge for just a few weeks ago. Even my stroke is so much smoother. Thank you...just had to brag a bit and hope it helps some to see it can help you're game to say nothing for your health and for players that have beer bellies to knock off a little weight. Johnnyt

About 3 months ago I was 185..now 154

had 44" waist... now 36"

wore large size shirts... now medium

No pain pills in over 2 months...not even a Motrin

My back can take playing pool for 2 hours or a little more.. before 10 min

My knees went from can't get out of bed w/o pills to walking around big stores w/o the scooter and no pills.

From only able stand 60% dew point and up for a few minutes to can stay out for hours @ any level.

My feet have just about no pain, but I had to get used to good shoes again. I felt like I was walking down hill. I thought I was back on the weed lol.

Nice to hear a bunch on AZ are sheading the pounds also. Johnnyt

Well I was a tight 48 and now I am a 42. I was wearing 4x and 3xlt's now I can wear a 2xlt.. I am 6'3 and the pounds were easy to hide. When I get down to the 230's... I'll update..

Figure I'll chime in. I'm down 13 pounds from 249 to 236. Just started two weeks ago. My wife and I are going to California in three weeks, the beach for 4th of July, and the beach in September - so I have plenty of motivation. My method:

Lose It! app (really easy and makes you think before you eat)
Water, water, water, water
Sports - I find exercise just rediculously boring so I am playing sports 4 times a week or more.
Check out reddit .com and look at the subreddits: \loseit \fitmeals and there are plenty of others. These are very motivational with lots of before/after stories from real people.

I can't believe the cloths prices now. Before I got married if I had a date and nothing I liked was clean, I just went to a good men's store in town and bought dress pants $4.95, dress shirt $3.95, pair of loafers $6.95 + a pair of good sox and a pair of underwear all for a $20.00 bill. No underwear if it was going to be a backseat date. But this was in 1956-1957. LOL. Johnnyt

Johnny,

Good job! By the way, how tall are you?

Pretty awesome!

I've been less than stellar since I made the above post, but no major slips. Three beers in over two weeks ain't bad compared to my normal consumption. Portion sizes of meats and carbs have been cut basically in half (I'm using one of those cheap digital kitchen scales), but if I chew carefully and eat plenty of greens I don't feel those nagging hunger pains when I walk away from the table.

I am for the first time experimenting with that "switch" that is supposed to go off when you are full. Seems mine was faulty and needed to be reset. Now, when I first recognize that feeling of being satiated, I drop the fork and push the plate out away from me. That's my signal to myself that I have had enough, even though I know I could polish off the rest in a heartbeat.

This discovery was huge for me. And I throw the food away, no more saving it for a snack later on. I know some will decry this as waste, so I'd be only too glad to send those folks the rest of my partially chewed burger if they pay the shipping.

I have a doctor scale, but I don't weigh myself anymore. Just depresses the crap out of me and makes me want to grab a beer. I have noticed, however, that a certain pair of favorite work pants suddenly need a belt to keep them up again, so there have been some gains... er, I mean losses.

Well I started shopping for myself in the 80's.. maybe in a few months I'll look for some parachute pants and a members only jacket.. :)
