Best American Pool Player - Voting

Before posting another post with complaints, please read the Edit.

Before responding with the same answer over and over again...:o:grin-square:;)

People will figure it out. Not everybody understood, but not everybody was confused either.

No one is confused. How can you do a poll and add people later? lol... Some have already seen and voted. But I guess some of the list would need a head start...

But the point people were making was, with any poll, how could you not add the #1 UPA player from the beginning, in listing the "Best American Pool Players?? Why would someone have to add them later?

HA! your 2nd sentence indicates that you are confused. So much in fact, you think you aren't!

BEfore you say you arent, how does the-top-tens.com work?

EDIT:
Wow, I didn't think such a simple thing would bring so much confusion lol...
American pool players - as in players that play American Pool - the sport, not Americans. Like American 8 ball, 9 ball and 10 ball. British Pool and Snooker for example is out of this list.
-Shane, Mike or someone else is missing on the list... The top tens site has dynamic lists and new players can be added at any time. If you want to vote for someone who is not on the list just add them...

Well, couldn't find a topic for this on the-top-tens.com so I decided to make one.

Please vote :)...
This is not a 'simple' undertaking what-so-ever, Goga.
It's not specified whether it's current or all-time....or all-round.
There are many players that excelled at 'some' pool disciplines.

For instance...Willie Mosconi and Ralph Greenleaf would be the first two
choices at straight pool.
Efren Reyes and Ronnie Allen are on ANY one-pocket list.
Buddy Hall and Luther Lassiter are on ANY 9-ball list.

I've seen too many polls and lists where the parameters are not clearly
defined....
...they make as much sense as "Do you walk to work or take a lunch?"

Nevertheless, welcome to the forum...and I hope you post more.
..but expect to get called on anything...we love to argue..:angry:;)

...and there are a lot of sharp cookies on AZ...
...^whaddiya mean 'I'm mixing my metaphors?'

I could care less how the website works.

The whole thread is whacked. A "Best American Pool Player" poll naturally, is an AMERICAN pool player. Maybe it should be Best player at an American style of billiards, or Best player on the American tours. But regardless what was edited in, the topic still sits there. "Best American Pool Player"

As maniac said, no one is going to follow every post in this thread to figure out what should be obvious in the Topic...
"Best American Pool Player" I will take SVB......

Ever?..........

That was not specified either. :D

This could be broken down into a million ways lol... If in a room with everyone in their prime playing their favorite game, personally, my money would be on Mosconi.

I still think you are confused! But I can 100% see where the confusion comes from...

Dude's failure to include SVB is inexplicable, I agree...but he had to put in a top ten. I believe people's votes on the page result in changes- introduction of new players/ deletion of existing players.

Woulda gone smoother to just post an AZB poll, keep the word "american" out, and then add a write-in option :)

But even then it's a very muddy question. So many games fall under "american pool". So many players are better at one game than others. And there's the age thing... best ever? best still living? best still active even if he's past his prime? best active and in his prime?

I can save you a lot of time and just tell you people will say lots of mosconi, efren, earl, shane :P

The best American pool player, currently, is SVB.

The best player, currently, who plays "American pool" is Alex.

Me. oh sorry have to use at least 10 charactors, uhm grumpy, grouchy, goofy, bugs bunny, daffy duck, donald duck, foghorn leghorn, yosimite sam, elmer fudd, pepe la pue.

That's the point of the site I guess. For the community to add stuff.

Hehe XD...
Well, I imagined the parameters as this:
-American Pool in general
-Non-retired players who still play actively

That was not specified either. :D

Non-retired active players.
