It's my favorite drink in the world.

I noticed you changed your avatar photo. Used to be a pic of the Lagavulin distillery IIRC.

Great stuff, my favorite single malt. Laphroaig 10 year-old does me most of the time, though, at close to 1/2 the price (Lagavulin 16 year-old is like $75/bottle around here).

Lately I've been back into bourbon because I'm saving for a new lathe. Buffalo Trace and Elijah Craig 12 year-old are both decent bourbons at the low end. My niece works at a liquor store and brought me a bottle of Knob Creek small batch 9 year-old that's pretty good. That's as high as I go with bourbons, any more $$$ and I just buy a good single malt instead.

BTW if you like those smoky Islay scotches, you should check out some artisanal mescals. They are real yummy and smokey like good scotch.

Any of these do me fine playing on my home table, but when I get out to the pool hall it's always beer, usually a good IPA if they have it. I have to be real careful with whisky or "Evil Danny" comes out. He's no fun at all to be around, so I rarely drink whisky in public anymore.

Water is all I can handle. Sugared drinks mess up my concentration.

And I haven't had a beer in so long, just being near an open bottle makes me half drunk.

What I drink when I play...

If it's a money game I only drink water. If playing with friends I drink one or two beers. Any more than two beers, my game heads south.

Sunset Blend Juice
1 lg Sweet Potato
1 med Carrot
1/2 Red Bell Pepper
2 lg Red Beets
2 Golden Delicious Apples
1 Orange (optional)

Juice, Pour over ice, Enjoy!

Whiskey and lot's of it............

That's what I like my opponent drinking when we raise the bet way up HIGH>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>;)

You guys drinking water are the reason pool hall owners can't make great money. Guys come on and expect to just pay cheap table time. RIDICULOUS! Support the establishments with food and drinks. You can throw them out if you want. I was gonna open a pool hall but then I realized what really goes down. The scrubs drink and ruin the tables. The good players respect the tables but don't drink. Not profitable, and aggravating.
