I Don't Have Nearly The Same Amount Of Friends Here On AZ That I Used To . . .

I'm a little embarrassed to admit this but it seems like I was needing to empty posts from my pm box every other day but now I don't have to think about it for a week or more.

Hey, wait a minute; didn't Jerry or someone on az's team say that pm box storage has been significantly increased for silver and gold members?

Wow, maybe I still do have some friends.

Nice new benefit.

thx,
brian kc

Be bold and go gold for 200 PM storage! Plus you'll get a chance at the monthly drawings.

I'm not sure what Silver is now. It used to be 70?

I don't have any friends anymore either. Used to I'd say something funny, or make up a story, and someone would say, "Good one Tramp." or, "Damn, Tramp, that one was so funny I spewed Pepsi all over my keyboard." But, times have changed. Material is hard to come by these days, and the same old stuff is wearing thin. Maybe it's time for the old Trampster to ride off into the sunset.
Good bye cruel world, I'm off to rejoin the circus. At least the elephants still need their enemas. :sorry:

Everyone had their time at the top ;)

You mean he's not still at the top?

Brian, you've ALWAYS been one of my fave and most respected posters. Seriously.

I know behind a shadow of a doubt, you an I would have an absolute blast doing the green felt tango and sharing tales. :eyes: ;)

That said... And perhaps of marginal note. When us "old timers" maxed out at 2.147 billion rep points, the effect IMO was evident. We no longer repped as often. Most everyone - human nature - gets a little recharge by those pats on the back. I'm trying to give more where deserved. Eric, that eccentric dude from Germany or Vegas or Cally - is as well. It's seriously been reduced, sadly.

More respect for people's position - is what I hope comes of this thread.

One has to give rep in order to receive rep, I think.

I recently received a PM from a member who said they wanted to green-rep me, but when they tried to rep me, the window came up saying they'd have to spread the rep around a little more before they can do so. He said the last time he had repped me was a year ago. :grin-square:

I rep on a daily basis to members' posts I like.

The rep system is broke, meaning what it was supposed to be. Today, the rep is more like a private Tweet limited to characters as opposed to a full-blown PM (private message). Both serve the same purpose in AzBilliards forum today.

Only brand-new members are capable of being red, but, of course, one green rep from a regular AzBilliards member changes that red to green, no problem.

Rep system is broke. They should maybe think about doing away with it or calling it AzBilliards Private Tweets. :p

Maybe they should. But until then, we can use rep to share the love. Before we maxed out - we'd share it more. Some under false pretenses as you stated. Now, with no "race to the top" at stake, I think it means more. It does to me.

How ironoic that you mention "race to the top" to me this morning. :D

I am currently, at the time of this writing, working on Race to the Top, except it's a competitive grant program for education ---> Race to the Top.
