Kersenbrock or Southwest?

The guy I got it from swears up and down it's a Kersenbrock. Someone else says, according to Laurie Franklin, the rings automaticly make it a Southwest.

I agree Southwest. Jerry's trademark the matching double ring in the backend. So many people think they have a Kersenbrock with double ring, and so many really don't.

I think it is a Southwest as well.

Easy fix, and would be my recommendation is to send it to her for verification, and refinish.

Your cue, do as you please, but if it was mine that would be what I would do. You'll more than make up the cost of the LF verification when you sell it.

Surely a SW. However, David was with the company for several years and did almost everything in the beginning to almost nothing in the end. David certainly could've worked on this cue, but it was likely sold by and through Southwest.

Another funny thing of note, there's a handful of folks that think the opposite about the early double wood butts. Just goes to show how confusing these cues can be. Regardless, you have what looks to be a wonderful example of an early SW cue. Verify, refinish, and you've got a keeper!
