You seem to have a hard-on for every single post I make on AzBilliards Discussion Forum. I can usually ignore the first dozen or so of your posts, but now you are bordering on stalking. That is cool as heck. I really liked Monica. I was hoping the upcoming announcement that you had inside info on was that Keith was going to play bonus ball.

Not economically feasible for some folks to move to Vegas. For others, it was a dream come true or maybe a nightmare that keeps getting worse and worse. Time will tell!

Its not sarcasm, its the truth. Unless a person knows 100% that is what is happening with Bonus Ball, its players and what the announcement will entail, its nothing but rumor.

I remember not long ago, someone was dying. Someone pulled a false statement from Face Book about this persons passing, which hadn't happened yet, and posted it on AZ, just so they could be do the, You heard it from me dance.

Thats also the type of Grapevine that I am referring to. I can't remember who posted it but it was probably pretty embarrassing.

And I don't stalk you and comment on every one of your posts, just the ones I feel like commenting on. Which by message board rules, is perfectly acceptable, otherwise we wouldn't have a quote function.

Don't get overly excited Jam, as you're pretty much the last person on this board that I am interested in. My post wasn't referring to Tor in any way.

Agreed. Please get these guys in some nice polo's. I can't take the cheesy jerseys seriously and I don't think I'm the only one.

This has always been a debate with many folks, whether to wear casual clothing like you suggest, nice polos, slacks, or long-sleeved shirts with vests or suits.

I recently watched an ESPN pool match from '80s era, and the players were all dressed up in suits, leather shoes, shirts with collars and sleeves, et cetera. Even the audience was dressed in suits.

I agree with you, though, about wearing the polos or comfortable clothing. In this regard, I believe this is one thing that pool has in common with golf. You don't see golfers wearing suits or dress clothing. They need to be comfortable to execute shots, and I believe the same thing holds true for pool players. Collared shirts, dress slacks (no jeans or shorts), and leather shoes are the way to go.

Dave and I merely work at bonus ball. When delays happen or there are problems of other kinds, we are actually affected as well. For some reason were also the ones held accountable for management decisions, and get thrown under the bus, as if somehow posting on AZ about BB or running cameras somehow makes us liable.

In any case, I must be misunderstanding what you mean by "pairing down" the teams. Can you clarify, as to me it sounds like you mean reduce the team roster to 2 (from 3), which certainly isn't the case (nor was it ever). larry and barry reduced from 4 to 3 a year ago and added 4 teams, so maybe that's where you're drawing innacurate info?

I don't mean to be pummeling you or singling you out, but you're the face of Bonus Ball on this forum, so it may be why some members direct their inquiries or statements to you directly.

Maybe I am misunderstanding what you mean. "Pairing" means two, a pair. "Paring" means lessening or trimming excess.

It would take me a while to search through your posts to find what I read, but to sum it up, what I interpreted from your previous posts on this forum is that some of the BB players today are not permanent fixures, or words to that effect; IOW, some of BB players are going to be let go eventually. Their security on the BB roster is based on their performance, and eventually, if and when BB goes global, these members will not be on the teams; in fact, there will be less teams.

BB is quickly becoming my favorite game to watch, nothing else like it. The mics on the players really let's you know what the players are thinking. Corey has a great mind for the game and Atlanta has stellar players... But their constant mental errors reminds me of me after a smoke break :grin:

Why are you so negative on Bonus Ball?

I was all pro Bonus Ball until their re-scheduling at the last minute affected an American promoter's event. This has been written about exhaustively on the forum, so I won't rehash it here. If you are a "regular" reader of this forum, then you know what the re-scheduling is that I am referring to.

As far as the concept of Bonus Ball, I had thought it was a golden opportunity for pro-caliber players, but the start/stop and postponements of when it was supposed to begin, the re-scheduling at the last minute, and to be quite candid, the lack of a Bonus Ball ad banner on AzBilliards to me shows disrespect for an already-existing and fractured pool inudstry in the United States.

Meanwhile, Greg Sullivan tried to help Bonus Ball at its genesis get set up, and Bonus Ball, after requesting Diamond tables, went with another vendor and did not even give Greg Sullivan the decency to say, "Hey, we've changed our minds." This reflects poor business etiquette. If this is how Bonus Ball treats American promoters and industry members, well, it got my attention.

If Bonus Ball can turn this around and make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, then more power to them.

Am I confused when I say that we could just wait for OFFICIAL information, definitive statement (not hearsay) that they aren't paid, or are pairing/paring down? What's the rush to allude to this prematurely? Do you benefit from doing harm to BB? If not, will waiting a day really change the impact?

Bare in mind, though they may be adversely effected by this potential outcome (which maybe be tenuous or simply misinformation)... they are autonomous adults accountable for the risks they take. If their risk assessment was detuned as to get a contract that their attorney reviewed prior to moving... then they've made a life mistake they needed to learn. Some people pay to learn things in college, some people pay them later. Ultimately, as much as I share your sense of (in)justice where warranted, I'm also hesitant to advertise something by insinuation that's yet to come to fruition.

Get direct statements, not hearsay. Then there's no speculation and there's nothing wrong with your remarks. Otherwise, you're damaging the very project you say the players are relying on.

All meant politely, with all due respect (as you may have direct information which you've not revealed).... but bit of skepticism on both the players signing up for this, as well as on your part for believing they've been burned avoids the downsides you mention.

We were auditioning players then planning to use the best ones exclusively later on in the season when were ready for full production. My gripes with Bonus Ball began when the Canadian enterprise stepped on an American promoter's event by re-scheduling at the last minute.

Your coworker, whatever you want to label him, came on this forum and stated in his own words that he is the one responsible for the rescheduling. It was on the Bonus Ball poll thread, if memory serves me right.

I already know the press release will be laced with good and bad news, based on *your* representation on this forum about the press release, Nathan.

This upcoming press release that you mentioned will be good and bad to me reaks of IPT-ness, and I quote: In September 2006, just prior to the IPT World Open Eight-ball Championship in Reno, Nevada, Kevin Trudeau announced that the IPT had entered into an agreement to be acquired by Ho Interactive, a new company started by casino owner billionaire Stanley Ho, a deal which failed. I went to find it. But the history won't let me go back far enough. It was when some of the staff members were being rude in your eyes in their posts. You don't remember getting upset about that?
