My Take On So Few Big $ Match Ups

what many of those ''gamblers'' don't realize is with a 10% rake at the table, even a pro player has little chance in long run to come out ahead. online and brick and mortar casinos grind you out.

its also easier to lose at a casino game than pool, cause you can blame the cards, dice etc. and since noobdy has the stones anymore to take responsibility for anything, like losing at pool, that plays into the hands of the casino's.

the other problem action breeds action, and when its dry its hard to play knowing if I lose $2500, when can i get a game to win it back? next month, next year? it aint there to win back, tha casino's keep their cash posted-so again the casino's win. i laugh at the suckers who play casino games.

Bart will send it in. He usually has a corporation involved. Which is smart on a lot of levels. Like any risk based deal it spreads out the risk, allows more bites at the apple and sometimes allows for opportunities that one guy on his own couldn't finance.

SVB often has played with backers. He can and will bet high on his own. Lot of times it just depends on what the game is and the particular situation. Shane likes money though and he has learned that if he bets his own he doesnt have to give anyone else money. A simple but powerful thing to learn it seems.

I would consider all three of the above guys much smarter than players who would just bet whatever is in their pocket because they had some need to be in action. Just firing to fire never impressed me.

Same as singers and actors who create their own studios and labels. The more skin you have in the game the more you get to keep when things go well.

How about all the people who use paypal to pay off their gambling?

Put $1000 into paypal and about 160 transactions later PP owns every cent of that $1000. Paypal charges credit card rates to move digits between accounts.

They do provide a great service but if people who ship money back and forth did the math they would see that PP's rake is not small.

Actually there are services that allow you to accept e-checks. By putting in the account info it's processed like a check. I don't think I would want to be giving out my bank info to anyone else though.

Paypal is definitely the most convenient. No doubt about it.

You need a translator.

Example:

A: How did you do in Vegas?
B: I just about broke even (means I lost and I don't want to tell how much)

A: How did you do in Vegas?
B: I won a little (means I broke about even)
