Just so I know, since I am the promoter of the event, how are you contributing?? Do you mean you are buying the PPV? I just know nothing of it. Please let me know thanks.
Moron. Cantrill called your bluff and told you to put your money where your mouth is.
And you want to act like you are somehow doing 'pool' a favor...and anyone who is in disagreement with you is also against Mark...laughable.
Like TAR and Accu-Stats and IP and BigTruck, Mark has built a name and a brand deserving of respect through hard work, lumps and a wanted product, unlike you who just came and made a stinky.

I say investing, some say buy, others say contribute.
It all means the same thing.
I'll be watching the stream live.
And 15 others that have contacted me via email.
Is that cool by you? That I've encouraged others to watch a great event, instead of bonus ball?!?
Kid dynomite brought up excellent points, I will also add that poker did so well so fast because the game allowed all those people to almost right away sit at a table and play right away. In pool it takes years of practice to to run several balls in a row consistently. Perhaps a game that would allow even bangers to feel like they had fun and could win might get people in. Very hard for newbies to get excited about something they will most likely stink at for a long time.
FYI- The distinction between investing and purchasing is that investing is undertaken with the expectation of reaping a profit, while purchasing is the exchange of money for a product.
HAHAHAHAAHHAHAAHAHAH, thanks for the laugh!
GED or....?
No,if you read my post. I said there are exceptions. Please read and comprehend, thanks! :grin-square:
If you made the game any easier how well would the already superb players play. There is no way to equalize the pool game that would allow a player to have a chance to win any session of any real length when you have a league player playing a pro. In poker the card can be very generous and allow the less skilled player to win. I do not think you will ever get 5000+ players with 4500 of them being amatuers putting up all high dollar entries like you find at the world series of poker. I do not think it will ever happen even if you made it all a race to 1 playing 6 ball on a big pocket valley bar box. Amatuers cannot compete with pro's playing pool at least in my opinion.
I never called them that. Don't put words in my mouth.
If you are buying the upcoming PPV match, then your are an investor.
Sorry if your brain cannot comprehend multiple uses of a word.
The exceptions are the ones that act like that. You just tried to sound important because your buying the stream. What a tool please never post again.

That is absoloutly fine by me an thank you. I misunderstood because at the beginning you said investing large sums of money and talking about a $10k bet so I just got a little excited that we had found an Angel Investor and I could relax and not stress as much. No worries happy to have as many viewers as poss. If you and your friends would like to help purchasing in advance is the way to help the most, just fyi.
Mark
Kman, I doubt a single person that will start with your OP will initially gather your group of investor's were simply buying PPV's (is that correct?).
I know it threw me off, and many others have already agreed. Just cause I send $50/month to my internet provider doen't truly make me an investor. You used the term too liberally IMO.
Investor:
to put (money) to use, by purchase or expenditure, in something offering potential profitable returns, as interest, income, or appreciation in value.

You start a thread implying that you along with a large group of investors were prepared to invest large sums of money into pool. When in reality you and your "investors" are buying the PPV. I hope you didn't have to completely empty your piggy bank.
