On The Road Again with Perfect Aim....

Hi Matt,
Its Doyle..that's what they call me at the 8 Ball because there are so many Steve's that play there. I think we played last night. You are a lefty? I missed my position on the 8, got hooked behind the 6, and you ran out. You play good, and a gentleman to boot. That's why I drive so far to play there. You get to play against tough competition, and meet some really nice people. APA rules on Saturday are not my favorite. I like Valley rules on Friday nights better. I've been playing in those chip tournaments at the 8 Ball for a long time. I have never seen anyone win one starting out with 3 chips. Maybe some one has, but I wasn't there when they did it. Gene did it 2 nights in a row, winning both Friday and Saturday. That's pretty awesome. Today he's over at a friend's house of mine giving him the full ''Perfect Aim'' lesson. I was supposed to be there too, but told Roger I was too wore out to drive another 150 miles today. That would be 3 days in a row, and tomorrow we play at Sportsmans, our league final against the league leaders who are 1 point ahead of us. Any room operator that wants to increase their business should try the chip tournaments. I have been there when there was 90 players, and in the winter, 60 is normal. They are a lot of fun, and a good way to sharpen your game.

Hi Doyle,

Yep that is me the lefty..... I remember that game. We started out moving some balls around to get position and then you made a tough combination. I thought you were going to be out until you had that tough roll hitting the 6 ball. You play well.... keep it up! I don't get out much anymore, I have two young boys that keep me pretty busy.

Good luck tomorrow at Sportmans!

Matt

Just got some really bad news...........

Len Jaszewski from La Cross , Wi is in really bad shape.

He's been a great friend of mine for years. Just heard from Jason koopman that he might not make it until morning.

Len has done so many good things for pool for many years.

Great instructor and always willing to help his friends at a drop of the hat.

I talked to him about 4 months ago and his spirits were pretty good.

Sounds like he's lost his battle with cancer.

One hell of a nice guy and a pretty good pool player.

Last night was one of those Special type of lessons.

It all started out with Steve Doyle, Frank cooper and Don Gibb meeting at Franks little slice of heaven in his garage.

No ordinary garage at all though. As you go in the front door there is this monument of a pool table. It looks like an old brunswick but it is not. It's a Gandy..

I didn't even know that gandy was around back then. The table I think is from around the 40's or 50's sometime. not sure. But it's one of those that was made to look like it had drawers on it. Then they would put a top on it to look like an ordinary table.

And boy did this table play sweet. it's like you can just feel all the past greats that have hit a ball on there. It almost feels sacred. Sometimes I even felt like the voices of past were trying to tell me something. Very surreal.

I felt like it was an honor to even play on this legend. And it is in tip top shape.

It turned out that Steve couldn't make it Sunday and will do the lesson this week so it was down to Frank and Don.

This is fine because it's difficult to work with three at once with Perfect Aim because i like to work on so many other things at the same time. And you never know what you will find that will really help that player.

Stroke, stance, eye patterns, body movements, you just never know.

First I worked with Don and what a nice guy. Here is a guy that is working his butt off to get better and is stuck in this vacuum because of this eye thing. I knew from the start that this might be a challenge because Don thought he was right eye dominant when in all actuality he was not.

He convinced me that he was right eye dominant at the start but as we went on and the shots wern't lining up and going in, I kept trying to figure if it was the left eye dominant.

Then don said the magic words. it feels like I'm shooting this with my left eye. He was cutting the ball to the right.

This told me immediately that don was left eye dominant.

We started right from scratch and within a few minutes Don was seeing the shot correctly and he said it even looked like it was going to go. To understand the magnitude of what just happened you would have had to been there to see it with your own eyes.

Frank was over on a table about 10 feet away with a big smile. He said I ain't never seen him fire the balls in like that. This was after only a few minutes of finding the right dominant eye.

Dons results seemed like nothing short of a miracle to himself and to Frank. Now Don could see why he was having trouble making the balls. Why he was having trouble with his shape.

If the dominant eye is not in the most dominant position it's like aiming the rifle under the right eye, closing the right eye and shooting with the left eye.

Now we could go on with the cuts to the right and the cuts to the left and work on the whole Perfect aim process.

Don is a 5 in the league. I will guarantee, especially if I was here for a month or 2 and worked with him that he would be nothing short of a 7. It happens all the time over and over wherever I go.

Perfect Aim is pretty much a guaranteed raise of one skill level almost immediately.
It's just a given.

As a teacher, to make such a difference in someones pool game that is trying as hard as they can to get better, is so rewarding.

This is why i do what i do. This is why i travel and teach.

Don said it all in a nutshell. He told me you are creating a legacy.

I need to correct him on that because i think most legacys are dead. Then they become legacies.

I'm still here but I guess he did say creating.

I need to get the camera figured out so i can show the dramatic results that are happening over and over and over out here on the road.

Next we went on to Frank. He's a 7 and plays pretty sporty already, in fact he helps Don with his game here and there.

Got to go do another lesson but I will share franks results as soon as I can get back to the computer.

One man a van and the road.............and lovin it...in Columbus,Ohio.

What state is high in the middle and round at both ends?:)

Let's see if anyone knows the answer. I'll give you a hint. I've been there before.

Sounds like things are going well Gene. Just so you know I am still working on the project we last discussed.

Going great.

Sounds like things are going well Gene. Just so you know I am still working on the project we last discussed.

Things are going great........

I got some action last night. At a bar called front row owned by Tony layne.

I played Dillon a couple of races to 9. Bartable 9 ball.

Nice little bar with 4 bar tables. They all seem to play really well. this is a nice place to play pool. And the owner Tony has a huge passion for the game.

After the action i gave him a little mini lesson with Perfect Aim. I don't know if he will call me for the full lesson but he should. The results this guy would get would be unbelievable.

Then today i gave a lesson to Clem Willis. Beautiful table with a great setup.

After we got done with the lesson his game will spike for sure. He's got allot of work to do but now his hard work will pay off. Really a nice guy also.

Then at 8:00 I headed to Bank Shots and did mini lessons for the league players.
As usual we hit about 15 homeruns. Hopefully a few of them will call for the full lesson. The difference it would make in their games would be huge.

Don at Bank shots was a gracious host and does a great job with this room. I definitely need to go back there before I leave Columbus.

Another great busy day on the road with perfect Aim.

Lesson driving from Detroit, Mich tomorrow to Columbus......

I really get pumped when I see this.

Driving 4 hours there and 4 hours back is huge. There is nothing but the desire to play better there for sure.

The cool thing is i know how valuable this will be for any pool player.

Can't wait to start this lesson.

12:00 noon tomorrow.

One man a van and the road.......

Looks like I will be at 8 ball sports bar tonight.

I'll be doing mini lessons for the leagues. See ya all there ...............:)

Ok, things seem like they are moving a little smoother. Now just stay out from underneath RV's and make sure your tail lights are working and your brakes are in good condition.

Anyone that gets a concusion has big trouble for awhile but you don't know because you don't know what you don't remember.

I'm on the road back though. I'm playing better and back to giving lessons full time.

I also got back on track with the weight loss program. I need to get down to 175. I was back up to almost 200. Just cracked 191 today.

I want to be at 180 for Beloit.

Now i can exercise and keep going so that is huge when you want to take off the pounds. Sitting still just doesn't get it. I just took the bike for about a 10 mile ride. It's just right at night here. Need to enjoy it when I can. The nice weather.

I'm doing a lesson at 12:00 at Bank shots in Hilliard. Suburb of Columbus.

Then at night it's back to work on the game. I might match up with someone or i might just play in the 9 ball tourny at 8 Ball Sports Bar at 8:00.

Gonna be a busy day and a good one.

Another great day in Columbus.

It all started up with waking up. imagine that.

I kept waking up all night. i was afraid I would over sleep. I got Greg Scott driving all the way from Detroit, Michigan for a Perfect Aim lesson.

Next time I need to get a wakeup call from the front desk instead of depending on my alarm clock.

I met Greg at Bank Shots and the place was closed. i had talked to someone on the phone the night before and they told me it opened at noon. Right on the door it says 2:00 PM to close. I guess the person I talked to didn't know?

In a few minutes though a couple of guys that work there during the day let us in to use the table. Real nice guys. Forgot the names but the one guy is the regular day guy there.

It all started out like I thought. Greg knew there was something he didn't know but he couldn't have imagined what he was going to find out. He shoots guns and knows for sure that he is right eye dominant. When he points or does the eye dominance test it always says that he is right eye dominant.

As soon as I saw him get down on the shot i could see that he was left eye dominant. greg couldn't hardly believe his eyes. But he had to because he was seeing it with his own eyes.

It took about 5 minutes to sink in though and when he would move around he could see that he absolutely could not see the shot with his right eye in the dominant position.

And it just got better from there.
Greg has allot of talent but it has been held back by the eyes.

If you don't know which eye is the dominant eye your just letting your brain try to sort it out which might not be very good.

Just like holding a gun down at the hip, you'ld be better off if you put your eye in the sight and the sight and held it on the target.

The same is true with any pool shot. Except noone knows where the natural sight is.

Greg knows now along with all the other Perfect Aim customers in the world.

We worked together for about 6 hours and I wish we would have had more time.

Great guy and great fun tweaking his pool game.

Then after being a little tired from not enough sleep i headed over to see if I could win the 9 ball tourny again at 8Ball Sports Bar. It was a great turnout this time and adam smith was there. A very accomplished player and pro.

My first match I played Adam and lost 4-2. I missed some easy shots and so did he. neither one of us played up to par.

Then I got through a few more and then hit a gear. Or should i say blood sugar gear.

I ate some cookies. my glucose was too low.

I whizzed through the rest of the tourny. And played Dillion in the final. This young man can play some pool. I just ran a couple of racks and made a 9 ball on the break. That pretty much cinches a race to 5. Or makes it pretty tough.

The good news is I was really tired and I held up. this is what I am striving for. I need to keep working out and keep building my endurance.

Beloit is my motivator right now. I have about 10 days before I head over there and then it's off to Minnesota to work with Tor lowry and the 14 day reality show.

I wouldn't miss this for the world. Some great things happening with this and just happy to be able to be a small part of it.

Now these chip tournys friday night and Sat.

These are fun but really tough to win.

I like the fun and I like the tough.

One man a van and the road....................

Can't believe how much more fun it is to feel good........

I'm not out of the woods yet but I got my energy back and can't wait each and everyday to find another player to teach or another tournament to play in.

I just broke the 190 lb barrier and on my way to 185.

I'm still on my regiment of green peppers, red peppers, brocolli, carrots, asparagos, spinach, oregeno, and progressoe chicken cheese enchilado soup all chopped up in my little wizard.

My body begs for this every morning.

Yesterday I pushed my body to the limit and it responded. After only 7 hours of sleep and a lesson for about 6 or 7 hours I held up good in a very gruelling race to 4 in winners, race to 3 losers, coming through the losers with allot of good players.

Had 2 rough matches but didn't realize that my blood sugar was too low. This is a good thing. I ate 2 cookies and everyone was in trouble after that. I just ran out from everywhere and played pretty flawless shape. I could even think good which has been a problem for awhile since the accident.

I went to the gym after the tournament and worked out for about 30 minutes. Rode the bike there was all but at a rapid pace.

If this keeps up Perfect Aim will be going bigger and stronger than ever before. players need to know this and I'm just the guy to show it.

What's really cool is now that I have this diabetes under control that I could not only help someone play the best pool of their life but I can help them get their health back if they're diabetic. If you don't have your health you don't have anything.

This diabetic thing robs us of allot of things. if you don't have energy you can't do anything except sit there just making the problem worse.

The problem is until you just say to yourself, i'm mad as hell, to let this crap rule my life and keep me from my dream, your probably not ready to make the commitment to fix the problem.

I'm more broke up and busted up than most people that I know. too many things to list here. it's easier to say what I havn't broke than what I have, that I could be a poster child for Percocet or vivadin but I prefer ice instead.

These are just 2 other things that can steal your health and life.

My good friend Len just lost his life to cancer. I talked to him many times over the last 6 months about what i was doing on the road and he was always excited to hear the details.

if you can hear me len or read this somehow i want to let you know that you have motivated me to the max to do and be the best that i can be. I need to do what I can do until i can't do it no more.

Look out world. here comes Perfect Aim full speed ahead.

One man a van and the road.............

got a little weak..........

Played in the chip tournament tonight.

Got a little weak. Lost the weight a little too fast and trying to eat too little too quickly.

I need to eat more when I need to perform but not too much.

Still tough until i get to 175lbs.

gonna take about 3 months. can't go too fast.

Got a lesson tomorrow and one on sunday. One on monday and one on tuesday.

Could do one more each day. Columbus is really good for pool. They got it going on for sure.

One man a van and the road..........

Up Up and away........

Here comes Perfect aim at Bank shots in Columbus Ohio...........

I have a lesson today with a young man that is going to see drastic changes to his game.

I see about 4 things that will be an almost instant fix. It will make it so much easier to get the job done. This will raise his game up a ball for sure in a few hours. Maybe more..........

Mix these things in with perfect aim and get those eyes right and I'm expecting he'll be a pretty happy camper.

He's not going to be a champion but he will step up to his natural ability in a real quick hurry.

Like about 2 hours.

Many players think this is impossible but it's happening over and over and over again.

And I'm having all kinds of fun making it happen.

One player at a time.

And because I'm right here in person, I get to see that look and big smile when the balls start rolling in the holes a little bit easier.

One man a van and the road......

Now Gene, you forgot to tell how he was 100% sure he was right eye dominant, but you are sure he wasn't and then you proved it to him, now he's running out racks from everywhere.

Perfect Aim.

That would be a little rediculous to say for sure..........

Now Gene, you forgot to tell how he was 100% sure he was right eye dominant, but you are sure he wasn't and then you proved it to him, now he's running out racks from everywhere.

Perfect Aim.

There are allot more things to this game than aiming. but if you have the eyes in the wrong position or not the most correct position it doesn't matter what you do.

As far as the eye dominant thing I wouldn't expect anyone to believe it until they see it with their own eyes. As far as thinking the wrong eye was dominant it doesn't make any difference unless you know how to get the real dominant eye in the correct position.

If you doubt what i say you only have to go back through all the Perfect aim threads and hear the players say the same thing over and over.

In fact our own Spidey on AZ here thought forever he was right eye dominant. All pointing tests and circle tests say he was right eye dominant.
He is absolutely left eye dominant and shot better than ever before after tweaking his aim with Perfect Aim.

I've ran into 100's of players that are the same. But then again a skeptical person could say, maybe those 100's of people are just not very smart and are fooling themselves.

I don't think so and neither do you.

Most players when they miss they knew they were going to miss before they pulled the trigger.

That's because it didn't quite look right to begin with.

When we jump or twist it's usually because the shot doesn't look right.

Like the young man i taught today said he had trouble with playing patterns.

My answer was now that he can aim he can hit the OB the right amount and the cue ball will go where he wants it to go. If you hit too thick or too thin it can go too far or too short.

I wish they had a show where they had 5 teachers teaching students to win a competition. The show would be based on how well these players performed after 2 weeks of training.

Very interesting to say the least. ................

And that your saying you would rob me and dee to sell your self
With your lessons
Well I'm in Columbus and would love to play the game we made
I don't want to play you even that's a joke you need a spot
Next time you give a lesson and you want to play ill be more then happy
To come spot you .
It's weird how you tell these people you would rob me and dee yet we will
Both spot you
Dee has been told this info by more then 1 person and be passed it on to me
I'm sure your lessons are good and worth the money
But as far as playing me or dee come on gene this is getting old

Perfect Aim stands on it's own..........

I don't need to say anything about you Chris to sell lessons. In fact it would even help you play even better.

I'll play either you or Dee and I told Dee I would play him. We just talked about it a couple of days ago. I don't think your name even came up. Sorry.

Right now i can't play any big money sets and I told Dee that. I'll play $100 or $200 sets. I just started feeling better from a little car wreck I had. I'm playing pretty good right now but then it will go in the tank for a few days.

I would love to play $100 sets to try and get into top form. I'm going to Beloit to play in the big one there on the 23rd. Then it's off to Minnesota at the end of the month to do a couple of Perfect Aim lessons for the reality show, 14 days with Tor Lowry. This guy is doing some great things for pool. Glad I can be a part of it.

It's been about 4 months since the concusion. it's been a long time healing. Brain can't take a beating like that when your 60 years old. I didn't even know my middle name for a month. No joke!

I'm trying to get down to 175. that will be the weight that I am supposed to be diabetic free. can't wait. I'm really looking forward to this and kind of documenting things here with AZ. Once I get there you are on my to do list for sure. Top part of the list. Not first but close.

Maybe we shouldn't play $100 or $200 sets now. I'm afraid I won't get offered that spot when the time comes. You better be sure you can beat me even first.

Feeling stronger and working out everyday but it keeps me kind of weak, losing the weight. But losing it is a must.

I just got back from the gym. Worked out for about 1 1/2 hours. And thanks Bobby for the encouragement. It was you and your dad that got me in pretty good stroke a while back. . I should have scooted over here and picked up that money from Chris then but I was just having a great time winning tournaments. 3 in a row. Then went to Peoria and pow. That put an end to that.

I think he offered me 5 to 6 on the money and a ball. That's pretty huge. I think he's taking me a little too lightly.

When I hit 175 the whole pool world will know I'm playing again. Without that blood sugar soaring all over the place I can really bear down again and get it done.

I told Dee that I didn't like playing anyone on the days I give lessons. He's a pretty nice guy. he understands. I'll be calling him for sure to play some sets. i told him that. But he knows the lessons come first.

I even shouldn't play in these small tournys because it takes away from my time teaching but I need to let them see I can play. Same with action. It takes away from the steady work. The teaching.

I have about 7 lessons scheduled before I go to beloit. I was thinking about not even playing in any of the tournys here so I can focus on my playing and lessons. .

But believe me Chris, i don't need to even mention your name to give Perfect Aim lessons.

That's kind of a funny one:rolleyes:.
