On The Road Again with Perfect Aim....

Good Stuff Geno

I'm pretty tired.

I had a pretty neat thing happen last night besides losing my bike.

I got back to the room and got the internet going. i turned on the TV and on Fox 28 they showed the picture of a young black girl that was missing.

I saw her at the Extended Stay Motel over by the Motel 8 where I got my bike stolen. Bad area. What are the odds of that. Pretty slim I'd say.

She was with a tall white kid. he seemed really nice and so was she. there was also a short black kid with them. he didn't say anything to me.

They were really nice and warned me how bad the area was. To look out.

I called the station. Almost didn't, i was so beat. they told me to call the police. They told me to call this other number and I got a recording. I called back the police and they told me to just leave a message. Nothing they could do. It is another division that handles that or something.

I told the lady that they will be gone in the morning. She said to just call back and leave the message.

Here i'm trying to help a mother find her daughter that is gone and underage i think, not sure of the situation, and I'm getting the run around.

I called and left the message and told them that they needed to get someone over there the first thing in the morning if they want to find her or they would be gone.

I called the police and they got her at the extended stay motel.

Mom got her baby back.

some of they players here on AZ might even have seen her picture on the news last night.

Kind of a good feeling to be a part of something like this.

One man a van and the road...........

Hi Gene, Glad to see you finally made it to Columbus. The oldest running 9 ball tournament in Columbus is tonight, Thursday, at the 8 Ball Sports Bar on Morse Rd. in the Morse Center. Friday and Saturday nights they have chip tournaments, 8 ball on bar boxes. There were between 50 and 60 players last Saturday. I'm sure you will find out everything you need to know by talking to the players you meet, but if I can be of help, let me know. You have my no.

Got into town about 8:00. Started looking for a room right away.

I was in a motel 8 looking at a room and someone stole my bike.

I just bought it from Christian Pittsburgh before I came. I bought a bike rack also for $118.

I got out of there. The police told me I was in a bad area.

Nice bike too...........

Some people on AZB might have a bike sitting in the garage that they don't need anymore and might be willing to donate one.

It's tough living on the road. Expenses are high and this kind of crap makes it cost even more.

As to helping the mother get her child back, as always, YOU DID GOOD.

I'm glad your here.......

I knew sooner or later you'ld see I was in Columbus.

I was at 8 ball last night. What a great place to play pool.

I was also at Qstix. I'm heading over to give the owner Mark, a quick Perfect Aim lesson. at 4:00.

You guys got some great stuff going on over here that is pretty special. I hear the turnout at these weekly tournaments is great.

I'll be seeing you there tonight at 8 ball.

Thanks for the heads up Steve. ......

great day, I don't even know where to start..

First i got a call from a player from Michigan that wants to come down for a lesson. I get excited when I have someone travel so far because I know they are really serious about improving their game.

I'm pumped already and I havn't even left the Motel 6.

Then i headed to Q Stix and gave Mark Johnson a Personal lesson. I do this to show the room owners how well it works and how much it will help their business in the long run. Players play better they tend to want to play more.

Good for business and great for pool.

Then I headed to 8 Ball sports Bar on Morse road. I gave a mini lesson to one of the guys there named ken. He's a referee and just got back from Vegas i think not too long ago. He liked what he saw and I'm pretty sure he will be scheduling a lesson this week or next.

Then the tournament was going to start. Just a small one. Race to 4 9 ball. 10.00 entry fee. I lost my second or third match but hit a gear and ended up winning the whole thing. Pretty small though but so much fun. Good competition.

I went outside to eat a sandwich when a tall guy walks up to me and says are you gene. I said yes. I looked at him and for some reason he looked real familiar.

He said i don't think you know me but i know you. He told me how he knew i got my bike stolen and said he had something to show me. He pulled out his phone and showed me this real neat looking mountain bike. He said it is yours if you want it.

I said sure. I was almost speechless. Imagine that?

I want to say thanks again Mr Matt.

I couldn't wait to get Matt inside and give him a heaping helping of Perfect Aim. He plays pretty sporty and could see the value this would bring to his game.

This is the coolest thing that anyone has done for me in my 5 years on the road.

What a day.

The other good news is I'm starting to finally feel like I have some energy reserve. I can think better and i'm playing better mentally.

That concusion sure took a little life out of me for awhile.

Still have some issues form it but overall I'm pretty pleased that I can play again I think.

This is whats so great about being on the road. Each and everyday is an adventure.

One man a van and the road..............

I'll be at 8 ball Sports Bar tomorrow night for sure. Come on Down.............

Always great stories. You are a true gentleman & a man of his word!

Keep up the the good work on & off the table.

See you soon I'm sure.

Everyone could use a Perfect Aim lesson

Way to go Gene. I knew you would like Columbus. There are a lot of good people that play there, and I think the 8 Ball is a great place to play. I was trying to figure how many actual pool rooms there are. I know there are a bunch for a town of that size. Have a great day! See you tonight.

WOW ! Dave.s going all out AGAIN at the Carom Room Beloit Wis. Aug 23rd to the 25th

yes:
Gonna be a great event!!

My first time to Wisconsin and I can't think of better room to be visiting!

Ray

This is already a real Special :yes:event with a guy like Dave Coles that just keeps doing this for pool over and over again.

Bringing in Ray (Big truck):welcome::bow-down: Hansen is real icing on the cake.

I've seen Ray set up and tear down his equipment , he goes to great lengths to make everything as Perfect As possible. A real professional for sure. And one of the best commentators in the business.

For those of you that can't make it you can get a great show at home but for those that can make it there you won't miss any of the action.

There will be just too many Main Events here as far as Star matchups are concerned to hardly keep track of.

Ray usually tries to get the best matchup he can on the stream or maybe 2 now with a split screen but there is nothing like being there and support this great room operator, Dave Coles:yeah::thumbup2: and his faithful crew.

You won't want to miss any of the action. this is history in the making:shocked2:. These are tournaments that people will talk about for ever.

It's SMOKE FREE also. so you can stay all day and feel good when you leave. You know i like that!

Freddy Bender sang a song years ago that went like this:

I can see clearly now the rain has gone. The remake for the non smokers would go like this.

I can breathe clearly now the smoke is gone. Somebody needs to get on that and do this remake for sure:rolleyes:.

Get there and be a part of it at the Carom Room in Beloit Wisconsin. .

Spend all day there. Bring the wife. Bring the girlfriend.:groucho: Or bring the wife and the girlfriend.

Great food and plenty to drink. And Dave Coles hospitality is reflected through each and everyone of his staff.

This is going to be such a great event that they should be charging an admission just to be there but they don't !

There's no admission and for a price of a few drinks and great food you will see some of the best bar table pool played in the world.

See ya there Dave, Duane, Carlos and Ray...........and Thanks for making our pool world an even better place to be!

another great day and unique tournament at 8 ball sports bar......

First i stopped at Bank Shots. Great setup for a poolhall.

And full of players.

Met Dee Atkins there and a few other players.

Set up a couple a tentative lessons for Monday.

Then it was off the the races to get to 8 Ball Sorts bar by 8:00. Just made it.

I was going to set up a table and do Perfect Aim mini lesson but then i realized with the tournament format everyone would be really busy playing all the time.

It was a chip tournament they called it. i'm sure others have heard of this but it was the first time I'd seen it.

Everyone starts out with 5 chips unless your a pro. Then you only get 3 chips.

Trying to be honest and not wanting to make anyone think that I was trying to steal i told them to consider me a pro and give me only 3 chips.

Everyone draws a card to see who they play first. If you win you stay on that table. If you lose you go on a list to go to the next open table that has a winner that just won. And you lose a chip.

I just thought it would be fun and it was. It's actually a race to one but if you lose 5 games your done. Your out of chips. In my case i only get 3 chips.

The tables play really fast so it was real easy for lower skilled players to get their shape.

I won about 14 games in a row and then I figured out the faster you played the more games you were going to have to play. As soon as you won they had another player ready to play you from the loser list.

I just kept playing as fast as I could. I was having fun.

Then I had a game where I got out of line. I almost pulled it off but not.

Won about 5 more games and then I played Chad. Same guy I beat last night in the 9 ball finals.

I didn't get out again and now i was down to 1 chip.

With 8 players left out of the 32 it's like sudden death because most of the players only have one chip left but then again it might just have been a race to one tourny with the last 8 players.

What a great concept for a tournament. $8.00 entry fee. You split quarters each game so it costs .50 per game per person.

The business is getting the drop from the tables and the players are having some cheap fun and good competition.

I got pretty lucky throughout the last 8.

I either broke and ran out or they broke dry and I ran out.

i couldn't believe that i won this thing when it was over.

More poolhalls around the country need to use this format.

It's a win win situation all the way around.

Inbetween matches I worked with a father/son over on the 9 footers. As soon as I saw the kid was left eye dominant he was making the balls pretty steady. it was great.

I really had allot of fun hooking up with Steve D. He bought my video and we have talked several times. This was the first time I had met him but i felt like we were friends for a long time.

I got to share a few things with him and some others on a table inbetween the games at the end of the tourny.

2 other guys that had also bought my videos were there also.and I got to share some good stuff with them.

what a great night. Got to help some players and inched a little bit closer to being able to play again.

It might sound kind of funny but I had to relearn some of the things that I really took for granted.

One thing was eye patterns when I shoot. My eye patterns were way screwed up.
As far as i knew everything was fine. but it wasn't.

The tough part was you don't know what you don't remember. And you don't know what you don't remember if you can't remember.

Anyway i think I'm getting better.

The good news is that I used to remember everything. The things that had happened in my life I could remember just like a movie. Maybe I can forget some things I want to forget.

That would be a neat trick.

What another great day.

Had fun playing in a real tough tournament and got to share some things with some great guys.

Just like everywhere I go these guys were just great.

Another chip tourny there tomorrow night.

Columbus, Ohio. What a great pool city......

Gene,
This is a long way for me to travel but I like pool tournaments like this and I like when people like you talk about the pool room owners telling others what they do for pool.

I wish there wasn't so much going on in Louisiana pool-wise or I would find a way to make it up there.

This tournament starts August 23-25th. You can read about all of great things going on by clicking here.

NO FEES. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
NO QUARTERS/DOLLARS FOR THE TABLES. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
LOTS OF ADDED MONEY GUARANTEED. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
NO SMOKING. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

LOTS OF POOL TALENT. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

Once your out of the smoke your game will probably go up a ball.

Your running on about 70% of your capacity for sure.

I just got out of a pool hall that just had the smoke drift in some.

No smoke in Columbus or Beloit and they make sure it's way away from the main stream population.

I vote JoeyA for Mayor of New Orleans. I know for a fact he would get the no smoking laws rolling down there.

When someone can't walk the businesses have to make it handicap accesable.

So why is the world so backwards (Including the USA for sure) when someone has COPD or Ashma why don't they have to make the air so they can breath with out risking their life or health.

Especially Casinos. Just doesn't make much sense.

COPD and Ashma are about as handicapped as it can be if put in bad air condition.

Oh wait. I remember now! We just can stay out of the smoke. Us with lung problems.

Then why do the businesses have to make their place handicap accessable.

Couldn't they just stay out of there also?

Doesn't make sense.

JoeyA for Mayor. What do you think JoeyA.........

To run for the office of Mayor, I will be accepting a largesse of immense proportions. It's not cheap running for Mayor of anything.

Gene Albrecht is the "Real Deal"

I just watched Gene win a pool tournament tonight using his "Perfect Aim" aiming system to make a seemingly impossible bank in the final to lock up first place. Not only that, Gene has won 3 tournaments in 3 days while demonstrating his Perfect Aim between matches. I have been there the last 2 nights and saw the instant improvement you can get pocketing balls by using his system. Anyone looking to become a better pool player should give Gene a call and check out his dvd. It works.

More fun in Columbus............

Did some work on my car. My wipers were all screwed up from the guy that put in my alternator about 2 weeks ago.

Then I was trying to fix my gas tank. i can only put in about .10 at a time in the tank. The pump keeps shutting off.

Almost didn't make it to 8 Ball Sports bar. Called them at 7:50 and they assured me it was OK. I'd be in.

When i got there Matt was there with mountain bike..

Wow. this bike is actually nicer than the one I bought,. it will get the job done.

Then we started another one of these chip tournaments.

Things were going pretty good. I won about 4 matches and then out of the blue i was getting shape on the 8 ball , got careless and scratched in the side.

I only started out with 3 chips again so now I'm down to 2. Simple math. At least I didn't have 5 chips to keep track of like everyone else. ;)

Then I won a couple of more games but when you win the incoming player always gets to break. This makes it real tough. if they break and run out, OH well.

Then I have a game where the guy kick banks his last ball in. Getting straight in on the eight ball.

Now I'm down to one chip.

There are still about 40 people in this tourny still and allot of pool to play. Only 2 people are out of it so far.

I know my chances are slim but i figured that I would just try to be a tough out and just play every game like the other person was on the hill, because they were. Where could you get any better practice under that kind of pressure.

If you lose you don't get to play anymore and have anymore fun.

Right here , right now. 8 Ball Sports bar Sat Night at the 8ball chip tournament.

I finally made it to the final match.i think i won about 20 games in a row. My opponent had 2 chips left so i had to beat him twice. It's APA rules so slopping in a ball counts.

He wanted to split the money even though I had to beat him twice. I told him No. I said I wanted to play even if I had to go to 5 and him to one.

I wanted the practice of being in this final match. Where can I practice this? Right here, right now.

I got bad on my last ball in the first game so i just kicked hard at my last ball and it went in after 2 rails and 2 kisses. But that's APA rules.

Then we played the second game and I got real bad on my last ball again. i could only see half of the ball and i had to cut it into one of his balls, then hit the rail so it would force up in the corner.

This was the mosr rediculous, calculated shot that I ever shot ever. But it wouldn't have been possible if I didn't know how to measure the balls like I teach with perfect Aim. :grin-square:

It went straight in like it had eyes. All i had to do now was shoot the 8 ball in the side.

I took real careful aim and punched it in.

This is why we play these final matches to experience the excitement.

If you play all night, I don't care if you only get $130 for first, it's fun to play that final match.

Isn't that why we play the game. Because it's fun.

Kind of a funny thing happened at the beginning of this tourny.

2 older guys were talking and I was right in back of them. They didn't know i was right there.:)

One said to the other. That Aiming Guy, gene, won the thursday 9ball on the 9 footer and the friday night 8 ball chip tourny.

Then he went on to say, I don't think Johnny archer could win all 3 of these in one weekend let alone even one with only 3 chips.

Can't wait to see the look on their faces when i see them tomorrow at the pool room or maybe monday. Kind of funny.

But they are pretty tough. You need to get really lucky and play good. But if the incoming guy breaks and runs out your just cooked.

Tomorrow I'm going over to Rogers house for 3 lessons. Steve and Don will be there also.

This is going to be a great time showing these guys what's going on with these eyes.

They all love their pool. Roger and Steve were battling pretty close to the end.

The only tough moment of the night is when I had to play Matt. He made it to the final eight and we drew each other the second match I think.

I won the lag. he racked. And racked them good.

Pow. They exploded and I made 3 stripes. The other 4 were right out in the open with the 8 ball right in front of the side.

What a fun night though.

Everyone plays.

If you love pool and you want to have somewhere to play all the time, Columbus is it.

Great poolhalls and as usual the nicest people you could find anywhere.

This is one town that I might have to come back to after Beloit.

But for now it's excercise, eat right and play as much as I can.

For right now. Columbus is just what the doctor ordered.

One man a van and the road...............Just found a little slice of heaven.........

Columbus

Hi Gene,

Its Matt..... glad you are liking Columbus. I know things got off to a ruff start for you but it seems like things are rolling the right way now! It has been great getting to meet you and talk with you. Like you said that Chip tourney is tough action. I made it to the card round only losing once and still had 4 chips..... then I get broke and ran on 3 matches is a row. Like you said oh well that's the way is goes sometimes.

In any case I'm glad you like the bike and hope it serves you well! I'm sure I will be seeing you around the next week or so while you are in town.

Glad you added about that tourney. Sounds like a fun, fast moving format. Geno said it was tough action, then went on to say he won 20 games in a row with loser breaking. My thought was if 20 opponents didn't have 1 break and run, must not be too tough.

But then you came on to say you had 3 in a row against you! So maybe it was just luck of the draw.

Sounds fun either way. Must also be a hotbed of pool if you get that many players 3 nights in a row.

Yeah, it is a bit of luck of the draw. There are a lot of good players in the Columbus area, but things are a little slower in the summer months. These same tournaments will get 50, 60 even 70 players on occasion in the fall and winter. With tournaments pretty much every night it is a good area to be in and a lot of good competition as well.

It's nice to see Gene performing well. With all of his health issues, it's a wonder that he can even finish a tournament let alone win one.

What a lot of people DON'T KNOW is that a FEW PEOPLE automatically have PERFECT AIM (they just don't "know" they know PERFECT AIM. Most of us have to learn it. Gene knows how to teach the rest of us how to obtain PERFECT AIM.

Glad to see PERFECT AIM is still doing well.

I've seen Gene give the free Perfect Aim Lessons and seen him give the full version for $200. They are both worth your time. With the free Perfect Aim Lessons you will see why Perfect Aim is needed and if you listen closely Gene will drop some of those golden nuggets on you and your game will improve. Take the full version lesson and you get the whole system.

With as much time as we devote to pool, it would be smart of anyone to take advantage of this SAGE INSTRUCTOR who can shoot "like of Johnny Archer". :D

Hi Matt,
Its Doyle..that's what they call me at the 8 Ball because there are so many Steve's that play there. I think we played last night. You are a lefty? I missed my position on the 8, got hooked behind the 6, and you ran out. You play good, and a gentleman to boot. That's why I drive so far to play there. You get to play against tough competition, and meet some really nice people. APA rules on Saturday are not my favorite. I like Valley rules on Friday nights better. I've been playing in those chip tournaments at the 8 Ball for a long time. I have never seen anyone win one starting out with 3 chips. Maybe some one has, but I wasn't there when they did it. Gene did it 2 nights in a row, winning both Friday and Saturday. That's pretty awesome. Today he's over at a friend's house of mine giving him the full ''Perfect Aim'' lesson. I was supposed to be there too, but told Roger I was too wore out to drive another 150 miles today. That would be 3 days in a row, and tomorrow we play at Sportsmans, our league final against the league leaders who are 1 point ahead of us. Any room operator that wants to increase their business should try the chip tournaments. I have been there when there was 90 players, and in the winter, 60 is normal. They are a lot of fun, and a good way to sharpen your game.

Where can I find out exactly how the chip tournaments work?
thanks,
