WTB Richard Black Cue

Richard Black - After Six

I have a Richard Black "After Six" cue I would sell. The cue was made in 1991. The cue was shipped back to Richard Black for a refinish. At that time the owner had Richard also install the wrap. Since the refinish, the cue has had some play. One blemish in the clear coat on the butt (pictured). The rest of the finish is in good shape. Butt and both shafts are straight.

Butt: 15 oz.
Richard Black shaft: 3.9oz - 12.86mm
Rick Howard shaft: 4.0oz - 13.07mm

E-Mail sent to you with pictures and offer to sell.

Best Regards, Bob Farr

If I'm not mistaken, I think Rod's cue was a custom made Richard Black Bushka cue and if so, the cue costs like $2300-2400 but it definitely was one of Richard's custom builds since the cue is signed & dated.
If you have the budget, the best looking Bushka cue design, presuming that classic look appeals to you like it does to most of us, is on Cornerstone Cues.......contact Bill Grassley. Get this.........a stunning Richard Black Bushka cue with a piloted 5/16x14 "Ivory" Joint. The cue plays lights out and of course, has Richard Black's custom tips. This cue is the only ivory joint Bushka design cue I've ever seen by any cue-maker, other than a couple George Balabushka made back in 1966 for a fellow in Bayridge Brooklyn, NY and those two cues were just the nicest any of cues I ever saw for the next twenty years. Then by the late 80's & 90's, other cue-makers were just knocking it out of the park with their cue-making.

Anyway, you just do not see ivory joint Bushka designs by any cue-maker. let alone the highly heralded Richard Black. I can personally vouch that the cue plays sweet because I've hit some balls with this cue and it's priced @ $2250 which may not be within your budget range. If so, I encourage you to see if you can stretch it because it's that nice of a cue in my opinion. And Bill stands behind every cue sale and he'll guarantee your satisfaction with any cue you buy as would also another great, reputable AZer, Bob Farr, who also only deals in high quality cues.

that one for 1900 might be the best deal you will ever see if the cue is straight and fits what your specs. are.

I've had a lot of PM's about my Richard Black cue so I'll just put the pictures up here for everyone to consider.

Bushka model made in 2011. Weight is 19.2 or 19.3 oz. depending on which shaft.
Butt is 15.4 oz Veneers are Black, Blue, Mahogany and White.
Shaft #1 is 3.8 oz. 12.9mm, ivory ferrule with padded RB tip, test hit.
Shaft #2 is 3.9 oz. 12.9mm, ivory ferrule with padded RB tip, unchalked.
Custom JP's with ivory tops.
Cue is straight, solid and unblemished. Cue is near new except for chalk on the test hit shaft.

Will sell for $1,900 FIRM. Shipped and insured in the CONUS. Please, I'm not looking to trade this cue.

Post deleted - will not be able to move forward - my apologies.

I don't know what the deal is with the post by HouTexPlayer but Check with Bob Farr since it's his cue HouTexPlayer's post refers to??????? Only Bob can pull the cue off the table but my main reason for posting is the $1900 Bob wants is a damn good price for his cue.........you will not find a RB Bushka cue in better condition at a better price....search long enough and you might find one some priced lower but you'd in all likelihood get less of a cue since Bob's cue is absolutely pristine..........and the wrap appears to be Cortland Linen #9........that's as authentic and true to George Balabushka's original design as you can get............Cortland #9 was George's favorite wrap.

Just to clarify - I was not hijacking the thread in any way. I had indicated to Bob Farr in this post and via PM that I would purchase his R. Black - and then all hell broke loose in my house when the significant other found out - I decided that this battle was lost and respectfully withdrew my offer.

My apologies for any confusion this may have caused.
