On the way to Washington state.

For those of you who've been waiting on me to come back up to the PNW, I'm leaving the Diamond factory tomorrow headed that way. I have some work already schedualed to do in Wa, but might just hang around up there for a little while, since I don't know when I'll be back again the next time. Which I could hang around in most areas more than I get to, but that's life on the road:thumbup:

Glen,
Might be a good thing to call ahead for road reports and plan an alternate route if you are taking I-90.

Went fishing in WA a couple weeks ago and traffic was other than pleasant from Ellensburg over the pass. A lot of road construction still going on on the pass. Between Snoqualmie, slowdowns on the Auburn cutoff, and wrecks on I-5, it took an extra 3 hours to arrive at Forks.

Have a good day,
Corey

After driving a few thousand miles just to make it that far...what's a few more hours wait...LOL

I talked to Clark at Malarkey's Pool & Brew in Tacoma, Wa. a little while ago, he said he's going to be recovering a few of his 9ft GC's while I'm up there, so I told him if he wanted some extra help, I'd be there to help recover some of them with him...as he's the person that's been recovering his tables since I showed him how to take care of them himself instead of hiring the local mechanic's, and has been doing a great job of taking care of them. It'll be fun working with him again, even if it's only on a few tables:thumbup:

In Rapid City, SD right now, heading to Goldendale, WA tomorrow, will be there on Wed, then on to the Kent, WA area next, where I"ll be for at least a few weeks.

Well, I'm in Washington state now, and will be here at least until the end of this month, have some Diamond 9ft's I'm working on, updating the way they play and installing leveling systems in them as well. I guess I'm not going up to Alaska from here, deals off for the one table going there, so I think I'll head on down to California on my way out next month...it won't be as hot as it's been everywhere else I've been working lately, and it'll for sure be a bit dryer than WA, as it waits to rain until I get here:grin:

any chance of you heading through Portland Oregon on your NW trip? I have a 7ft Diamond pro-am that has never been truly leveled. I've had two technicians work on it to no avail. Seems like perhaps the slate may be bad.

Yes, I'll be heading through Portland when I head out, and no the slate didn't go bad, the table mechanic's did;) Send me your add and ph # and I'll add you to my list of places to stop and people to see:)

Can you give a general estimation as to your fees? I'm in Bellevue and have a 1970's 7' table with single piece slate that i've been contemplating recovering/railing/leveling. It's my first table so I don't know a ton about these things yet but generally it seems that the single piece tables are not your friend.

I can't quote you on something that I have not seen as of yet, there could be nothing wrong with it...to it's just not worth working on, hope you see my point. I can tell you though, if it's a 7ft one piece slate, it's an undersized slate, meaning the same slate used in bar tables and it's 3/4" thick, and...the rails don't bolt through the slate, but rather the wood frame portion of the outer edge of the slate. But, still I'd need to know what brand of table it is first, that way I don't waste your time, or mine.

PS. One piece slates don't bother me in the least, I've worked on more of them than any other working table mechanic in this country:grin:

Later this month I guess I'm going to take a run over to Moscow, ID. to meet up with Skyler, the owner of Mingles, so we can sit down and talk about maybe replacing all the 9ft tables in Mingles with Diamond's:thumbup:
