So I've been playing in the basement! It's unfinished can't play the table completely but its enough! Anyway, I am totally convinced that that humidity change from 70-80% down to 40-50% makes a world of difference! I can't believe how much better everything plays under 50%! So much more accurate!

I've got 2 of them down there! But sometimes it gets so humid here that the best they get to is around 75%! Believe me, if I didn't have them, I wouldn't be able to ever play

not playing....he says the table is always dry.

If it stays above 65% for a few days it will get moldy down there. Maybe you should open a window down there if you have one. You need some airflow.
Tuesday night I was playing at an outdoor pub here in the Philippines. The table was sweating. It must have been 85 degrees and 90% humidity. I just wanted to shoot the 8 ball in on every shot so I could just lose and go home and sit in the air conditioning.
You could, of course, set fire to the room, but that's a bit extreme. Regardless, the fire department would come in and put the moisture back anyway.
Maybe the size of your space requires two dehumidifiers to handle the load. :smile:

Yeah, and golfers play changes dramatically with altitude or when its raining. The elements effect all sports and all animals on the entire planet no matter what they are doing.
Reminds me of a teenager that came up to the counter to see how much it was costing him to play, his exact words, ''you mean the time just keeps on running''. Never forgot that line

I run an extra A/C window unit, plus the main A/C for the house and a small heater that cycles on
and off for most of the day. Take any of those out of the day and my table and case can tell.
It's not cheap but it does make a difference. Here in Virginia some of the days are dampish.lol

The greens are always manicured to play the same speed.
Rain does effect the way the balls roll.. They play outdoors.
Dehumidifiers do work and will keep the table rolling faster.

Yea, that's what I love about playing here in Florida. Coming from Wisconsin, took me a little while to understand how to hit the ball a little differently down here, it's pretty humid probably 8 - 9 months out of the year... And no giant dehumidifiers to help...
