Would you consider Biado beating Ralf an upset?

To win in 9 or 10 ball you have to have three things:

1. Good racked balls (A friend of the racker)
2. Accurate consistent power break
3. Luck. (call it what ever, GOD's power, randomness, your day, in stroke..)

Biado has all 3, Ralf has luck only (in term of ball making and position i give Ralf an edge), therefore, it is not an upset, just like if he plays Efren, we know who is going to win... Take for example Nick the Greek, he plays good but no where near Biado, Lee Van, Dennis O, ..and many other pros, but luck prevailed a bit longer with him, than anyone expected, based on his 1st 9-0 match loss.

Carlo Biado better be wide awake and watch Thorten Homman sharking moves, i am sure his Piony buddies will help him out a bit in that arena.

Naji, what are the "sharking moves" of Thorsten Hohmann you are referring to? He seems to me like a straight-up shooter. I've seen him compete in various settings and never noticed him sharking before, unless you mean like an inadvertant shark, i.e., his pool celebrity-ness sharking a newbie pro player.

I did not mean dirty moves, psychs moves, where Biado thinks he got the game and Thorten comes back and destroys him. But Thorten is doing that as we speak, so no sharking there..

Ah, I see. Now I understand what you mean. Thanks for the clarification.
