Brand new from Kent Davis. 8 point Hoppe style cue. Ebony long points with black, fuschia, light blue and white veneers. Ivory short points with single black veneer. Presentation grade black ash burl laminated forearm. Capped ivory joint 3/8-10 pin, ivory Hoppe ring. Ivory spears in each point. Veneer deco rings at joint. 2 premium maple shafts, 13mm, with LBM ferrules and Triangle tips. Black Bison leather wrap. 19.12/19.17 oz. $1875.00 with joint protector set as shown. Can you elaborate on what a laminated forearm is, please?
I'm not sure whether that means a laminate wrapped around it (kinda like cored or full veneered perhaps), or laminated like lots of thins slices (either flat or pie shaped) glued together, or what? I believe I see the lines so I'm guessing pie shaped like an early LD shaft?

Also, why this technique? Prevent warpage? Salvage wood that is already wardped or unusable?

Either way, sexy cue!

Yes, pie shaped (and tapered) lamintion has thicker layer of hardwood like purpleheart under the thinner top layer. Very painstaking process. Guaranteed to not come apart ever to the original owner. Adds strength to forearm, helps the cue stay straight and allows the use of high figure woods typically too weak for cues. Kent has one of the best inventories of cues woods I've seen and he is very choosy in his shaft selection. His cues are among the very best values in high quality USA made customs cues that I know of. Look at what you get here for your money. Would be 2x the price from a more recognizable name cuemaker and the cue would be no better in build quality or playability. Martin
