Zero-X?

There's a ton of good info on their free videos on youtube. So I can only guess that the paid for info is gonna be just as good. The only thing for me is. I don't have my own table yet. I feel like you need to be able to play while watching. So in my opinion you need a table to play on while watching the dvd.

I will say this. I sent them an email a month or two ago with a few questions about it late at night. I got a reply back immediately from Tor himself. To me that tells me they have good customer service.

I will definitely buy them. When I have my own table.

if you really want to learn the diamond system I recommend it I think it is awesome it upped my kicking percentage a lot also my banking by a t least a ball or more

It's fairly basic information, controversial in that many contend that he "borrowed" at least some of the info from another pro, but given that I will say it is well produced and not very expensive.

I was one of his 14 day students so I might be biased. I found the Zero-X system by the free youtube videos and I was impressed I went on to buy the kick and bank video. I added them on facebook and saw the 14 day application and ended up being one of the first to go through the program. Tor has a great style of teaching I imaging you will not regret the purchase. He is a very kind and patient person as well and if you have questions about the systems he will be there to answer them.

My kicking especially has improved dramatically.

Tor's stuff is fantastic and the presentation of it during the videos is clear and concise.

I'm scheduled for my "14 Day....." filming around November.

How much has your game progressed since your time with Tor, Jesse? I'm pretty stoked to have the opportunity and really hate waiting.

The Zero-X system is the best money I spend on instructional 10 $ for kicking and banking videos. Awesome!

I watched the youtube video a few times. Last night I went to our local poolhall and did nothing but fundamental. Shooting balls in the same pocket over and over. I think if anyone wants to improve their game they need to make sure their fundamentals are dead on. All I kept doing was hitting the cue ball with center english with the object ball about 2feet away straight into the corner. Really showed me a lot about my stroke. Sometimes I would miss. Sometimes the cue ball would spin after the shot. Showed I had a kink in my stroke. Going back tonight to do the same thing. Once I can consistently pocket balls on a dead straight shot and without the cue having any spin. I will feel my stroke is dead on and I can move on to the next set of drills. Once I am confident with whats in the youtube video I will move on to the bank and kick videos. I want to take everything slow and hopefully progess to being a better player.

I do have one question. In any video they are going to show you proper stance, bridge and how to hold the cue with your backhand. Part of my issue was the backhand. I was trying to force my backhand to be perfectly straight and it didn't feel natural to me. Like I was to stiff with my wrist. I relaxed and started shooting how I usually do and I was hitting balls better and with no spin. So my question is. Should I change my backhand so its more fundamentally sound or play with what is more natural as long as it is consistent. I am in no rush. My plan is do go slow and actually develop a solid stroke. So if I should change my backhand I will. Just will have to do more drills until it feels right.

i would take a lesson and get a video analysis of your stroke
or at least video yourself
what you think your backhand is doing and what it is doing could be very different
sorry for the off topic responce

There are 2 main things with the backhand that I found. They sort of tie together.
One is how tight the grip is. The other is whether you cock your wrist or just let it hang naturally.

The wrist can be cocked inward, outward, or just hang straight up and down.
Just hanging feels the most natural but if I get into my normal comfortable stance, and let it hang
naturally, my cue doesn't seem to be pointing perfectly straight. It's just off a half degree.
I dunno if this is due to my build or just bad fundamentals for years.

But anyway when I swing my arm my tip wants to swing sideways a little across my body.
To compensate, I can curl in my wrist. This brings the butt closer to the body,
and the tip away from it. It feels unnatural but it straightens my stroke. On the break it's absolutely
helpful and even necessary. If I don't do this, my break hits way off from where I aimed.
This is in Joe Tucker's video if you're still shopping for DVDs :)

On normal pool shots it feels weird and I usually don't do it, but just be aware that
sometimes what is natural and comfortable, isn't always best.
If you are positive you're getting a pure center ball hit with no sidespin shooting the way you usually do,
stick to it. But recently I learned stroke flaws may not show up until you have to swing kind of hard.
Then they all come out of the woodwork.

This drill is perfect for making these flaws obvious and you can then decide if you want
to try changing your wrist a little.

For the wrist I suggest Berts advance fundamental...

I have checked out his free ones that he put on you tube. I thought the info was good. I thought some of his stuff was the same as a few others that I have came across but I didn't feel as though anything was out right stolen from someone else, but then again I haven't seen all his videos.

I'm guessing that people are saying he ripped off someones kicking system since that seems to be his main thing. I have no idea. How many different ways can you kick at a ball before someone is saying that you ripped them off. Chances are that whoever is saying that got the info from someone else too.

Which one? I have one of his DVD but not sure is there.

I pull my wrist a little bit inside on all my shots. Dont know why but it does makes me feel more consistent.

It's in Racking Secrets II that he talks about the different wrist and elbow positions... if you don't have
Racking Secrets 1 and 2, I highly recommend them.
They're actually about breaking and reading the rack, rather than racking.
