A Very Big Thank You To The ICCS

I just want to say thank you to the ICCS for a great weekend. I was truly honored that I was able to exhibit some of my collection at this years event. At first, I was little uneasy because I didn't know how everyone would respond to my display with traditional styled cues. The theme on the posters was "The Complete Synthesis of Art and Function". I knew my cues had the function part down (most with a lot of years of that) but I wasn't sure that they had art appeal. Well that feeling of uneasiness disappeared quickly. Will and everyone made me truly feel welcomed. If you ever have the opportunity to take part in this great show, do it. I am not just talking about exhibiting. Just take part in the event. The ICCS isn't just the exhibiting of wonderful cue collections. It is so much more. It's the stories you'll hear, its the making of new friends, meeting up with old friends, sharing lots of laughs and even a few tears. Thank you again for a fabulous weekend.

Great catching up with you again, Rik.

You know that lazy "S" Barry is calling my name. :grin-square:

Classy post, Rik....I agree. Wish I could have made it down this year but was busy with family stuff. The ICCS is really a stellar event. I wish more newer, fledgling collectors could get the opportunity to go to these events where they can meet and talk with long-time collectors, elite makers, etc....where the focus is strictly on the cues, the art/craft, and the camaraderie, and not on some of the other things that we all tend to get bogged down with from time to time. Any ICCS you get the chance to attend is totally worth the trip. Hats off to Will, Tom, Ken, and all the others that keep this great event ongoing.

It was GREAT to see you at the ICCS. Your cues, cases and fine character enhanced the event more than you know. I enjoyed talking to you and was blown away by those Fellini's!

Be sure to pass along everyone's thanks to your Mom for some of the best confections ever...with members like you, the ICCS surpasses the standard of being the world's premiere cue event...for those who attend, it feels like a gathering of family.

Congrats to you on your opportunity to display you items at the recent ICCS event. I was able to attend the one in St Louis a couple of years ago and felt fortunate to be there. I hope they will host one on the east coast sometime soon as I will make it a point to be there for sure.

It was my first cue show and something I will always remember! Your display was my favorite but I found something I needed in each and every one, I needed 6 of yours. Lol I didn't put it together till this morning who you were.
It is a special event for sure and an honor to meet some of my AZ friends and most of my favorite cue makers and Jack Justis. I must find a way to get to SBE next year.

I really liked your presentation. I feel a collectors show should show the whole spectrum of collectable cues.
