Dennis makes a table length draw shot on the 2, gets a bit lucky on the 3 with a kiss of it, table is open.
Makes the 4 in the side, good shape on the 5 although straight on it, 6 is on the short rail, and he comes up short on the draw for shape, tough cut on the 6.
Makes the cut! And looks good on the 7, easy 3 stop shots to take the first rack.

Dennis comes with a very strong out to go up 1-0. Made a great cut shot on the 7!!
Rack 2, Dennis gets a ball on the break, makes the 1 but bobbles a fairly easy 2, leaving Ralf with a blocked pocket for the 2 in the side with 9 in the way. He plays the 2-9 combo and misses.
Dennis sinks the 2, in line on the 3, 5 is right there for him as well, only issue is the cluster of the 6-7-8, will need touchy shape to get to the 6.

Dennis makes the 5 and goes 3 rails to make tough shape on the 6 ball and just barely over runs shape on the 6. Kicks the 6 but leaves everything open, 1-1. Ralph breaks dry.
Rack 3, Ralph with a dry break, nothing good here for Dennis to shoot at, the 2-9 are lined up for a combo and a diamond apart but can't really get there easily, he goes for a softer cut on the 2, great shape on it, makes the ball. On the 3, makes that, nothing in the way of a run out now, no clusters, all balls in the middle of the table at least 1.5 feet apart from each other.
Easy straight shot on the 7 in the side, left a bit odd angle on the 8 to get to the 9, shoots it 3 rails around the table with draw, left a long shot on the 9. Makes the 9!

leading 3-1 over Ralph. 9 is kicked in the side by the 2 bouncing off the end rail, 9 did not move at all on the break.

Dennis is looking like a different player from yesterday.....he's focused and playing much better. He just made the 9 ball on the break and is up 3-1 against Ralf. Come on Dennis.........
I had a feeling this would be a good match for Dennis...
