Here are a few photos of my Schon collection.

You have to love how these cues play and feel. Bob Runde was onto something special when he developed the series way back in the 80's.

Old Schons are so much better than new stuff, great R cues you showed us!

The OP let me hit with them and that R10 is a monster cue and I am not the only one to make that comment. The weight and balance are superb and the feedback is awesome. They are all nice cues.

Oh, man, do I want that bottom cue; guessing it's the R10.
Let me know if you ever want to sell, please.

Josh

Update:
The R8 has been sold to a happy home
The R2 has been sold and will be delivered Monday to hopefully another happy home

I have a big cue, at least big for me, due between now and Christmas. I got the call 4 weeks ago that the cue will be ready in 4-6 weeks.

The all ebony R10 is a special cue on many fronts.
1. It is super rare and you NEVER see one for sale
2. The butt weighs in at 15.2 oz w/ wt. bolt
3. The shafts are full and weigh 4.2/4.4 oz. and are 12.85 mm/13.20 mm. both micarta
4. The Cortland wrap feels great
5. The hit, feel, feedback is incredible and well balanced for me (forward)
6. An early R series cue indicated by the white butt cap

So, what is this cue worth?

My friend, I think you would be very foolish to let that cue get away.

IMO, it was the best of the lot, and I haven't seen any like it.

I would keep the cue if possible.

Best of rolls,

Ken

Stand in line, I called dibs on it!

Really, it's a great cue. It plays as good as it looks and the OP has been picking and choosing some great old shafts that compliment the cues playability.

I know it is easy for me to say as it isn't my money and I am not in the position to purchase the R10 (nor do I need it as I now have your old R2 and two micarta shafts in my possession!) but if I were you I would keep it. Even if you could get as much as 2k for it (maybe) I think it may be harder to replace than the actual money. You can always make more money, probably easier to come by than that cue, with those shafts, that wrap and in that condition. Good luck either way and I am glad you were willing to part with the cue I got! I just can't wait to get to my office later to take personal possession of it and go try it out...
