another shot would be hitting the yellow ball on left side 2 o'clock English hitting half ball going long rail, long rail short rail near diagonal corner. much tougher shot.

Red ball on the left, long rail, short, short, long, short, yellow. I think you have to catch the lower-right corner short rail very close to the corner.

Your first solution is impossible. Yellow is too far from corner. Yellow is right in the corner about 1/2 ball from both rails. Red is frozen.
Twice around is possible but very difficult to make it into back to the yellow in the corner.
Bob Jewett's shot is also possible, but not easy.
Stocking's shot doesn't seem like a great choice in my opinion. I'm sure it's possible, but it requires hitting a lot of ball and "hoping" you get the correct angle to score the point. A semi-force-follow shot. Let me know how often that makes if anyone knows.
Fast Eddie's second choice is my first choice. Off the left side of yellow. Aim either 1/2 ball or 2/3 ball (depending on a sliding table or not). Use high left english. Very hard and fast speed. Cue ball goes deep into the lower left corner and whips out short to score the point directly on the red. A lot easier than you think if you play it a few times. Actually it's much easier to score on a sliding table.

I'm surprised nobody even mentioned this one as a possibility. It is not very easy but it is possible. Hard and fast speed with high ball, maybe a little reverse. If you hit it perfect sometimes you hit the long rail 2 or 3 times on the way back. Much more difficult with the frozen red ball.

Maybe I don't understand the description/diagram, but I don't think the cue ball is going to curve as shown if you use follow.
I would shoot a bank shot! A generous amount of left english { jack up cue slightly, a slight curve before it hits the rail}, just past red to long rail then short, long then short into thin yellow, then straight into or rail into red. target area is larger than you think! By no means is this an easy shot but with years of practice you still wont be able to make it every time. It took me more than one try but less then a dozen to accompolish this shot. Will Marco agree? " shoot straight with angles"

I would try shortrail first off of yellow (thin hit) with left english. Long rail, longrail with backup on the shortrail from near the corner. Speed always important as you want to leave the red and white close (but not too close) maybe forcing the opponent to shoot rail first shots.
Bob, you are correct. I drew the diagram with the cue ball curving towards the corner. It actually is the opposite. It curves away and then it whips out of the corner. I will have to re-draw the diagram. The way I drew it, it curves as if with draw before doing the whip out.
Not sure if the yellow is away from the short rail enough for a tickie, but that would be fairly east to get going in the right direction w/draw.
Another choice which I like better is load the cueball up w/low left and hit the long rail just before the red - if you can get the cue ball to at least go straight across, you have a great chance of scoring.
But my first choice would be to double the long rail off the red. If you can miss the double kiss on the red, a high ball should give you a good chance of scoring.

Assuming the yellow is too close to the bottom rail for Fast Eddie's first solution to work (yellow on the right side, short, cling to the long rail hitting it twice or three times), this shot is extremely difficult. I am not sure which line FC or TB would pick. I AM sure they would not even expect to make it 2 times out of 5, and that is conservative.
On the principle of looking for a kiss shot when an object ball is frozen to a rail, kiss off the red with running English to the left short rail and around. A slightly fuller than halfball hit, medium speed, brings the cueball in short to a fairly big yellow ball, with of course the possibility of scoring on the long side as well.
I like the kiss shot, too. The third rail is small, but the angle to the first short cushion is very controllable.
