Although the maple points and a few other details are not typical Balabushka, there are enough things about that cue that it would be well worth Tascarella to look at it. Even if real its probably not worth $35K in todays market. I would bet it is real.

I am the one selling the cue and no it is not fake, Scooter Banks did not send me a cashiers check as he states (Sarcasm?). I put the cue on ebay and it is 100% authentic. Read my description and my ratings. Perhaps Craigslist was a mistake but it was my only option until ebay allowed me to raise the amount I could sell an item for. If you doubt me, send me an email and we will talk. It is a real Balabushka and was specifically designed and made for my brother by George himself.
I won't comment on your price as you are now a member looking to sell your cue.
If you want to get top value for your cue and it appears you do, you will have to send that cue to Pete Tascarella for verification. There is no other way. As it is, you have a cue that has some great features and some very un-George-like features. That rarity will hurt your cause when all you have for proof is your word. On the other hand, with a letter from Pete, you have an extremely rare and valuable bird. Plus, if you don't send it to Pete, that itself speaks volumes. He is the gold standard of Balabushkas. The letter is cheap, turn-around time is quick and it will yield you thousands of dollars.

I was at Ernie Gutierrez's shop like 5 years ago and he opened a drawer and showed me like 10 shortie blanks he bought in the 70s. I asked them WTF and he said, "these are

and they are crap. I used 2". And yeah, 15 per was about right for original pricing. I got $1000 per on eBay.

Thank you Kevin. I hold a prestegious government position and I assure you it is authentic. I will see how I can contact Pete Tascarella and go from there. My brother died October 31 and this was his cue. I do not play pool but my brother told me do not accept any less than 50K. Then I read some people saying how crazy he was asking for that price and others saying it wouldn't go for more than 35K. Tough to know who to believe.
We can discuss price if you'd like to. Its a AZ Billiards rule not to in a seller's for sale thread which this sort of is.
I'm sure you are a great trustworthy guy, but no matter what, a Letter of Authentication from Tascarella is the absolutely only way to go. I'll PM you his phone number if you'd like, he's close to you only call between 9-5 on weekdays.

We have met many prestigious job holders on the internet that work at McDonald and can't spell very well.
I'm sure you have a very prestigious Government job, but this is the internet I can say I work for the FBI no one would really know or really care.
But A letter from Pete Tascarella Authenticating your Bushka - well that is believable. my 2 :thumbup:
