There is a shot that I have been having more and more trouble with lately. When I think I can shoot the CB between 2 OB's and it looks tight, but to me it looks like it will go through, but a lot of times it don't. Yesterday each time a shot like that came up I would stop and get another ball to measure if it went through. About 50% of the time what I thought would go through didn't. Seems like I have more trouble when one ball is a little ahead of the other. Is this just an illusion that most players have or is it that I probably need glasses at 72? Is there some other way of judging it? I have had this problem for as long as I can remember and chalked it up to too much to drink, but don't drink now. Johnnyt

Eyes if healthy are like laser have very very small margin of errors, it is so small it does not effect CB path much to where it is focused at provided you are aiming at right place, usually it is stroke. Stroke straightness is very under estimated in pool.

I agree that many don't ever make sure they have a straight repeatable stroke even after 20 years or more playing a lot. But my problem is my eyes tell me a CB just fits through two OB's and before I've been shooting the shot I take another CB and see if it really fits through the two OB's, and 50% of the time it does not. Most of the time I'm wrong when one OB is slightly in front of the other one. Even though no one is watch me shoot and hit one of the ball I'm trying to go through...I feel dumb. I even look around to see if anyone saw me LOL. Johnnyt

I purchased these and received them yesterday. I can't play pool with my glasses because I look right into the frame. Well, these have adjustable lenses so I moved them into the "top" position and viola, perfect. It was amazing seeing everything so clearly. Yes, of course your stroke needs to be straight, fundamentals sound, etc....but seeing things clearly is nice and I haven't for years. It still felt a little "odd" and my perception is a bit different but nothing I can't adjust to. Also, if you order them pay the extra $70 and get the anti-glare coating. I was cheap and didn't and the first thing I noticed yesterday was the glare, lol. I'm going to end up taking them somewhere to have that added. Good luck.
 
Have you gone to see an eye doctor? Do you know if you're farsighted, near sighted, have history of floaters, or retina detachment?

I went 14 months ago. He said I didn't need glasses other than for reading. Yes I've had floaters for about five years now. Johnnyt
 
I see my eye doctor every 12 months. A friend who had an operation for detached retina see hers every six months.

Once and a while I will harp about this topic!
Yes, I'm four year younger than U but that said, just get your eye care specialist to fit U with
a pair of contact lenses.
U will never regret it!!!!

Johnny, I never ever play with my glasses!!
