Do you ever get "ball in hand" in a one pocket game?
yes its ball in hand behindthe line
Only when the CB lands in a pocket. Other common fouls (no rail, no hit, etc) are a one-ball deduction penalty, play CB where it lands.
So you get ball in hand (anywhere on the table) on a scratch?
Thanks for the info. I want to learn the game.
At the Derby you give up ball in hand if you play the press freeze behind the point foul safe, or use the shaft to foul instead of the tip. I've seen shots played this way gambling though.
Unless you are mad max. He was playing a roadie some 3fig 1p, roadie scratched on the break and max took bih on the other side of the stack.
Roadie asked his backer wtf is he doing? And let him go 8/ out...

.Check out ' csi Reyes gentile' for a fine match.
A 2 parter with incardona, deuel and frost doing the commentary. A whole lotta fun.
Corey suggests a zizg zag shot and billy tells him that zig zag is what he uses to roll his stuff up with. Corey has no idea about the reference...allegedly!
The talk a lot about shots an do a lot of laughing. Classic dialogue.
There is a deadish ball tha Corey wants efren to shoot but billy say. No.
Efren shoots it and it misses, Corey says it was worth it, just to see if it went. All laugh at poor Corey.
Fun vid...all 3 plus hours of the 2,
its ball in hand BEHIND THE LINE ie in the kitchen not anywhere on the table
from the dcc rules
Trapping or Wedging the Cue Ball: It is a foul if you deliberately trap or wedge the cue ball in the jaw of the pocket. In addition to the foul penalty, your opponent receives cue ball in hand behind the head string.

I watched one game last night. It showed me how little I know about how to play the game
Don't feel too discouraged, those guys are basically at the top o the skill set, plus there are no execution requirements from the booth.
The wouldn't shoot some of those shots for their own money.
