Just picked this up, owner got it new in 1985. No markings aside from the stickers

That ring work looks like that era Palmer ring work, but they always put a logo on the cue. So I think the cue is made by whoever made Palmer cues for them at the time.
 
Maybe and old Adams. The gold stickers on the bottom are not unique to Adams, but they are identical to the ones on a Adams cue of mine.

Adam cue did not put the lion/griffon logo on all cues. In fact it is absent on a lot of their lines. Balabushka, many Helmstetter series, quite a few.

Exactly. But they put Balabushka, Helmstetter and Stombolini logos and so on, on their own brands. I think it probably came from Adam factory, but that does not make it an Adam brand cue. Probably a private label cue made for a reseller.
 
Do you guys think it diminishes or increases the value of the stick to be unlabeled? This thing is really clean for its age and I'm contemplating selling it though I do need to take it for a test drive first :)

Diminishes it. Because people collect brand names and a no name cue does not have the brand name collectability.
 
The Adam griffin logo was on about 50% of the cues that would have used that logo from the 70's and early 80's. I have almost exactly a 50/50 split in my collection and can say the same for those I have bought and sold.
