DCC - Louie Roberts Action & Entertainment Award 2014

Looks like this needs a bump.

I like John Mars -- he puts so many players in big action it is unbelievable!

Richie Richeson worked his butt off all week and would be a great candidate
Billy Thorpe was in a bunch of action
Other names I would have to include would be Oscar Dominguez, Ryan Stone, Danny Smith

I believe Brian White was in HIGH$$$$'s worth of action, if you add up the total volume ... this is according to several members over in the action forum..

Just for record

I played 3 of the highest sets ever at the Derby. All 3 in the same year. If that's not worthy don't know what is.

B.white

My pick is Brian(gentleman)white and or Jason(the sock) Kerkas. They were in so much action they had to have a appointment book and a accouting firm to confirm and take the games and action. Rich aka the skunk.

Maybe they need to register the games they played big in and let us all
take a look, then will vote on the facts not the rumours. LOL
Best of luck for all of you that played for the win.

I quit careing when they gave it J. Lee a few years back. So sad.

I do not understand this issue. Jeanette played four or five sets for over $10,000 each. Every time she was in action the place was wall to wall. Everyone bet on both sides of each match. She was in way more action than anyone else that year. Can you and/or the other person who said something about her winning explain the issue.

No one should have a vote other then those that gamble, play in these matches, and or stake the games. Everyone else's opinion is biased in some way and 90% of them know nothing about what goes on besides what they read on AZB.

While I didn't play any $40k sets like Scooter, I'd be willing to bet that I spent more time in action than anyone this past week, either staking or playing. I showed enough gamble to stake a 13 year old in some $100 sets for his first time ever playing for money; and he won. I had a piece of the ghost in Rodney's 10 ball game, as well as staking the ghost against Russian Kenny on the spot shot and staking Kenny against SVB in the same.

I was in the action room all day and all night while a lot of people didn't show up in there until late at night, but I guess that people don't look at those $500-$1000 sets and think Louie Roberts.

Joe is right. Only the people involved know whats really going on. AKA: Scooter getting the award for all the dumps, double steers, and taking off the side action....pitiful. The award has become a joke.

Yes I agree I should have mentioned Brian too. The only problem for me re: Brian was I didn't see much of his action because it was in Ray's streaming room with the door closed. That might have been "entertaining" for the streaming audience but not for all the rest of the people at DCC not in the room. I did see the replay of the stick smash though.

In which with doors closed that counts against you as sad as it sounds.
Louie Roberts award is for ENTERTAINMENT and ACTION, not one or the other.
