Anyone following the tournament this year? First two rounds already completed on the winners side. Siming Chen has already gone through Emily Duddy and Jeanette (beating Jeanette 9-7). Jeanette was the #2 seed. Janet Atwell is playing, and so is WPBA charter member Vicki Paski.

What a killer field! Siming Chen, Kelly Fisher, Ga Young Kim, Jasmin Ouschan and Karen Corr will provide quite a challenge to the American contingent of players and anyone else wanting to win the title.

I'm keeping an eye on the brackets, and we'll see how it goes. ESPN 3 internet coverage on Sunday is something I'm really looking forward to.

The field is definitely a who's who of women pool players, with only Allison being the only notable active WPBA player absent, that I can think of. Missing a few Asians, like Cha, Yu Han and Sha Sha, but I don't think they're WPBA members anyway.

she no longer plays with a cuetec cue so i don't know why you are still all hung up over allison fisher thanks

Next up for Chen is Melissa Little, my homey. Come on, Melissa, bring it home!

its nice that the women still have a tour, too bad the men dont, maybe the men need to take notes. You never see poor sportsmanship and all the bullcrap you see with the men. I wish i would have known that they were playing in Michigan this week i would have drove up there to watch a bunch of women playing the game that i love, maybe i could find me one to bring home...lol...only in my dreams. Besides i am not sure i could handle getting beat by my woman, she would have to let me win so she wouldnt deflate my ego...nah not really, great women players are such a turn on to me...wohooo!!

What "Tour" do the women have? For a few years now what they have doesn't even come close to the collection of events the men have had.

GYK played strong , Jasmine missed a few shots she normally should make. Couple golden breaks helped.

Ga Young seems to have Jasmin's number lately.

GYK defeats Karen Corr to play in semi-final #1, Siming Chen defeats Kim White Newsome to play in semi-final #2. These are weird brackets.
On the one-loss side, winner so Jasmin/White-Newsome will face GYK, while the winner of k. Fisher/Corr will face Chen.
