great guy very good player owed pool room in Delaware I think, also herd got real high in one of the us opens. Met him couple times always willing to show you anything.

Russell owned Diamond Billiards and always showed at Cue Corner for our events back in the day. While waiting for matches he loved to hold court betting on gaff shots. It would start out with an object ball on the foot rail center diamond, and the CB on the head spot.....he would bet 3 tries to make it in either corner.....after taking our easy money.....the CB would move to the head rail center diamond....same bet same shot.....we went broke again!....lastly, and no lie.....he would put the CB ON the head rail where the cloth and rail meet and bust everyone cutting it in the kitchen corners!!!

He is a fun dude!!

Another time, I was playing good and went to Russells room for a weeknite 9ball tourney. He hated anyone showing up stealing from his regulars and put me in as an OPEN player....I was not. I lucked out and played great winning against his counter guy Joey Bags....aka Joey bagodonuts.....

He asked me to go back to Cue Corner!:)

have fun....

Some of the best action ever in delaware. Nice guy too, taught josh brothers the game. Seen him play cliff, Jeremy jones, Ray Martin. Everyone that was on the the road back when his room was open made a stop there.

I met Josh Brothers one time in Pittsburgh. Nice guy to chat with, but left before seeing him play. I would love to! Someday...maybe I will try my luck against him

Josh is always looking for a game lately he's been not playing as much as he should but I think he going to start getting back in stroke real soon!!! Josh has been a close friend of mine for a long time, and when he is in stroke and confident the world better watch out.

Russ

Back the the russel stories, someone has to have a couple I'm kind of curious as well.

Josh dont play anything close to that good to were the world would need to watch out. But he does play good but there is maybe 200 guys that can spot him lots if weight.

Always someone better but if he's playing there are not many people spoting him besides the top guys of course. And not many that are willing to either

I thought this was a Russell parsons thread any way. We could sit here all night and talk about who jb can and can't beat. I still want to here some stories about Russell

I've learned a lot from Russel in the past few years.

And whenever Vinny wants to play Russel even he can let me know.

The best story I could tell about Russell would be:

Russell would hate a thread on AZ talking about Russell.

And yes, I get the irony of posting in the thread.

Ok people i really didnt wanna put my man russle out there like that and i hope he dont get mad at me. But her goes. Ok i have know russle since i was 15 years old , I have a 21 year old daughter know so figure it out how long of a time i known him. lol. but russle is a great player the man kicks better than anyone or just as good as the best player. he banks ball from outer space he is so under the radar he could be playing on a table next to you robbing scott frost and you wouldnt have a clue as to what is going on. . Well maybe thats a bit of a strech but the man does play good. ok so back to the story . well the story is russle stinks and if you believe everything i said before this let me know and i will tell you another story. HAHAHAHAHAHA

hahaha well I don't know who you are OPTICIAN. but for the record billy is my friend so I wont play him besides the fact I need a spot from him . and as far as russlle . I don't need you to arrange a game for us I see him everyday and if I wanted to play him I can make the game my self. but as for you I don't have no clue who you are . But you can put urself in and come play me some. so maybe you can arrange that match.

Maybe the only guy on the planet to show his opponent what they did wrong on a shot while still gambling with them

Mccready is subject to do that too.

I played him once and he had me real good in the set. I basically couldn't win the set, unless I made like 32 balls, before he made 2...

I saw a 1rail kick that would have let me hold the stone and if lucky, get the rest of the balls on the table. I let him know what I was gonna do and he agreed it was a good shot. I shot it and hit it bad, bad enough that it was good I called it first, coz You sure couldn't tell what I was trying, based on how the balls started moving.

Keith barely stopped his hand from grabbing that errant OB to set it back up, before it disturbed the other balls on the table. He looked at me with a truly disappointed eye and shot his last 2 balls in for the win.:o
