Well, we will see. As I told you in private I think that if all three of us were in the pool room together you would detest Lou and love me. I promise you I am millions of times more creative than Lou is. That doesn't mean I can't learn from others.
I didn't destroy Lou but I beat him. According to him at the time I should NEVER win a single game much less two of them.
Lou had been there all day practicing on the table we played on. I came running into the pool room from the Windy City Open and jumped right into playing matches. First I beat Deno in 9 ball and then I beat Lou in one pocket.
Now....I didn't know a lot about one pocket at that time, only picked it up a few years earlier and really wasn't playing much. So Lou, the great one pocket god should have wiped the floor with me. But he didn't, he flat out DOGGED IT and I ran the balls I could shoot at.
You're right that might end up being the most expensive one pocket lesson, to rely on that one tiny victory. But what I know is that Lou consistently dodged me and until Fast Lenny put up a thread offering to back Lou for 20k against me Lou wouldn't even attempt to play me for $100 any of the times he saw me. Never, not once, ever.
Now I have seen him twice more since we made this game and both times he ran away not wanting to play. Now I can understand if SOMEONE thinks Lou has the nuts but I am fairly sure he doesn't think that way. Because IF he did then he would have already taken me up on my offer to post the whole 10k and play some now for 500-1k per game and he would have jumped at me offering to double the March bet.
The mythical backers he claims were clocking my match at DCC would have approached me to lay as much as I wanted if "they" thought Lou really had the nuts. But the fact is that NONE of the non-existent "people" Lou claims have his back have contacted me to up their end and Lou's heart is getting tinier by the minute.
I have tried to come at this nose wide open and bet as much as I can possibly stand to bet. When the guy and his backers won't go any higher then it tells me they don't really like the position they are already in. That's my read on it anyway.
As far as I am concerned the 10k is already gone. I can only get it back plus 10k more or it remains spent.
One thing I am certain of, Lou will not be one friend richer by the time this match is over but I am already dozens of friends wealthier because of this journey.
Well....it didn't start out to be a marketing experiment but it's turned into one. Honestly from the beginning I had planned to at least document my journey just to have a record of it. That thread was derailed and could have been epic. Now the journey spans several threads but that's ok.
