Back to the topic at hand.... Here are the taps I use. Hope this helps.

Consider this:
An aspiring actor asked Ben Afleck an advice how to make it in Hollywood. Ben Afleck told the aspiring actor to quit now as there is no future for him in Hollywood. Something about Hollywood sucks and most fail and don't make money. Ben said, if that aspiring actor listened to him, he wasn't going to make it anyway.

Apply that to cue making and this place. If you can't deal with these nasty cue makers here, you're probably not going to make it . It takes a ton of heart to make cues ( well, GOOD cues I mean. Anyone can buy blanks and slap them together ) and make a name for yourself . Putting up with the crowd here is cake compared to what you will have to deal with in the shop.
I once asked my late mentor how many times he cried in his cue making venture. He just laughed b/c he probably lost count. I remember sobbing twice after two accidents on cues. I didn't hurt myself but one of the cues became a souvenir . One was saved. When I say I was sobbing, I kid you not. Cried like a kid who lost his pet or something.
Someone getting "abused" here after asking a question he might have found out the answer to had he tried harder to call the SUPPLIER that supplies the tool, doesn't have much weight to whine here imo. Take the names of the ones who you think was out of line here. I would bet you, he's still MIGHTILY LUCKY they contribute here . The FREE KNOWLEDGE you can get from those peeps will save you HUNDREDS of hours of learning time I bet. Not to mention a ton of money.

Agree 100 percent. As far as calling the SUPPLIER, i couldnt, they were already closed, and I needed to put the order in before I forgot. I could have waited till they opened on monday but i figured since i couldnt figure it out myself maybe someone whould be kind enough to help. Had I known it was going to cause all of this, I would have just said f*ck it, ordered both, and sent the wrong one back.

I definately see why most people I know refuse to post on az. I asked a simple question, and I got about 10 answers from people willing to help, and about 40 posts of people trying to belittle me because they think they are better than me. They forget that, at one point, they too didnt know the answer to the very same question I had asked. They forget that, if it where not for the kindness of others, wheather it be writing a book, or telling them the answer, or showing them, (or what ever), they too would not know ( and I still question if several of the people that were jumping on the band wagon knew anyway).

As far as the names of those who contribute here, there a many great people on here and there is a vast array of knowledge that can be learned here. That is why I come back and that is why I try to help anyone in any way i can. If i know the answer to a question and another person doesnt I try to help that person as much as I can. I know there are others here that are infinately more wise than myself in the ways of cue building, maintainence, and repair. But I still try and do what I can.

If I let every person that has ridiculed me and put me down in my life control my actions, I would have never done many of the things I have. There are always those that will try to hold you down and if you let them they will succed. Simple as that. I dont let it bother me because I know the people that are truly here to help, will help, even if it is a simple question. And the ones who are here to start flame wars and belittle people will do so as well.

So I let the people that think they are better than me belive what they will. My commitment will not waiver just beacuse someone calls me names or tries to make me look like a fool. Because while they are busy trying to make me look like a fool, I am learning and I am getting better, and one day, while they are still trying to hold me down, they will realise I have surpassed them and left them in my past where they belong.

You've completely missed the point people are trying to make. The answers that were given to you were given because that person went to Google, typed in your question, and got back the answer you were seeking. Now it just wasn't one person who did it, but many people. You said you did this, but it is apparently not true. How can one person do a search, not get the answers they were seeking. But 20+ other people searched for it, and not only got the answer you were seeking, they asked you how you couldn't of gotten the answer that way.

You proceeded to tell the people who tried to help you that they're out of line for stating such evidence. Here's a hint for you, I haven't had to ask for any handouts because I've taken my time to research before hand. If Google doesn't return the answer I'm looking for, I reword my question. If that still doesn't work, then I change how I'm approaching my question. If that still don't work, then I'm obviously searching for information the wrong way. Because you've now taken such a defensive attitude, and negative attitude towards AZB, maybe you should sit back, have a cup of tea, and ask yourself why you're getting so worked up over being told this.

A phrase you should remember is; If you go seeking knowledge, be prepared for failure as you will never learn what you want. But don't be saddened, as you will learn a lot from the journey you have taken.

AZB, in terms of a community, is just that, a community. You earn a right to be handed free information. You haven't earned that right, nor have I, nor has Enigmatical. We sit in a juncture of maturity and desire, one that prevents us from accepting answers were given because we're arrogant. You have been told, and explained why things happened as such, and we don't care. If in 15 seconds someone else was able to Google and find the answer you were seeking. Then no matter how much you want show you're credentials for the subject, don't.

No Obviously you have missed the point HITS EM HARD. And this is the last time I am saying it. I am not getting the same results that everytone else is, Period. This isnt me typing something totally different I cut and paste the exact same thing they are typing in and I am not getting the same results. Someone even was arrogent enough to post a video of themselves typing it into the search engine like im some kind of fuc*ing moron or something.

You come on here calling me a liar is helping no one and is untrue to boot. I have no idea why I am not getting the same thing but I am not. But DONT CALL ME A FU*KING LIAR becasue you think you are better than me. Fu*k you simple as that. I did the same thing everyone else did and got a different result. Im sorry your little mind cant comprehend that. I am guessing it has something to do with the permissions microsoft set in the IE they put in xbox maybe its becasue it isnt the same engine, I have no idea. I do know most of the time if i search with a regular computer and a phone i get different results so maybe its using something different too, I dont know.

You can come one here and give me bad reviews and ridicule me all you want but it does not change the fact you dont know what the fu*ck your talking about. Just because you say it is so, does not make it so.

Like I said, had I known it was going to cause this many problems I would have just ordered both, and sent the wrong one back.

The reason I showed credentials is becasue someone questioned them. The reason I took a defesive stance is because simple minded people like you have consistantly called me a liar. The reason I told people that were trying to help that they were out of line, is becasue they where out of line and they werent trying to help. They were trying to act like their sh*t dont stink and trying to make me looke like a fool.

Telling someone to google it is like saying go read a book, but not giving them the name of the book to read. If you dont want to help then dont help but if all you want to do is say google it shut your fu*king mouth. Especially after you have been told many times that it isnt working.

I too could have six or seven hundred post under my belt if I just went to every thread where someone asks a question and I post back Google it. That isnt helping. That is being an a**hole. Simple as that. And I wasnt even the first one to point it out. If he didnt want to help he should have just kept his mouth shut. The only reason he did it was either a) to start a flame war or b) to get people to like his status and go "way to go, you showed that noob". It in no wat was to help. Did he really think by saying it, it would help in any way? If I hadnt googled it then chaces are I wasnt going to after he said something and if I had googled it already then it was a moot point to tell me to do it again. What was he trying to achieve?

I am tired of hearing people trying to cut me down who think they are better than me. I have been ridiculed becasue I am using an XBOX instead of a computer. Im sorry I cant offord one right now and I am making do with what I have. I didnt know that everyone on this site started out with everything they have now and never had to work for anyhting. I didnt realise that I was the only one on this site that has ever had to budget themselves so that they could get stuff they need. I didnt realise that the only way you were supposed to access this site is if you had a computer.

I have been called a liar and told i was disrespectful to people that were disrespectful to me. Your damn right im disrespectful to those who direspect me. You may have paid your dues as a cue builder and you may have paid your dues here by helping others but you dont just get respect cause you demand it. You get respect by earning it and if you refuse to respect me I refuse to respect you. Period. End of story. Treat others how you would like to be treated. Simple as that. You treat me with respect you will get it back. You treat me like a moron that is exactly how I will treat you.

Now that is the last thing I amg going to say on the subject from now on when someone post negative coments I am just putting them in the ingnore folder and they can rot in hell for all i car. I am a very kind person and I will try to help anyone I can but my hipocrosy only goes so far.

You may still get "try Google," but give the people you're asking for help that courtesy anyway.

See this is where I call bullshit. It's not a video they posted. It's a website called Let Me Google That For You .com. Http://www.lmgtfy.com it's not a video, it's a website that is used to show the stupidity of others. I guess you've already concluded that you're already smarter than us, so do us a favor and take your vast intelligence to somewhere else if you feel the need to get hostile again.

As far as the google search goes, Occams Razor should be employed here. here is what we know so far as facts:
1) we know that the same search engine is being used
2) the same search phrase is being used
3) different results are being given
4) im the only one getting the different results.

Occums razor states that when loooking at competing hypotheses, the hypotheses with the fewest assumptions should be selected.

I am assuming someone is a completely pompous horse's hind end.
