I am deleting threads here

One thing to think on

I sham you. I bump my post a couple times. Blamo. No evidence to support your claims. I forced the thread to be deleted. I sell anything and want it to go away. I bump it until it is deleted. Aint that a *****. No need to edit away your post. It is no more!
You should ban posters that use this disadvantage to an advantage.
Thank you for your Forum and enforcement of it's rules.
Kind of like the test area being used to display all your Cues you are selling. Every post you say look here. You can post anything and when they look here is a page of your Cues!
Nick :)

Knowledge. Actually this is a "for free" thread. Jerry is giving away knowledge of the current situation to everyone who needs it.

I don't need any knowledge. People have been trying to sell me that for years, and I ain't buying.:)

Exactly the reason why subjective enforcement is appropriate in isolated incidents><

Hurray.......let's get this playground cleaned up and do our best to keep it that way too.......the next issue is in this section
will be threads that do not list anything for sale or looking to buy and of course, the famous "how much is my cue worth?" ,
i.e., price checks, and the notorious....."Can you help me ID this cue-maker?".

There are Forum sections for those type of threads & posts and it's not this section........Thanks Mr. Wilson.

Don't thank Wilson. Jerry is doing the cleanup. I personally think Jerry should recruit some more mods to keep it clean then he doesn't need to mess with it.

There's like 10 infractions already on the forum rules posted on page one on page one alone right now, shill bumps, answering questions in thread, nice cue bumps, less than 48 hr bumps..... Make foresale/wanted threads all locked and pm's is the only way to do a deal.

Are the "pm for price" threads going to be deleted as well? I hope so. I hate it when I'm interested in something and then the seller doesn't post a price and take forever to respond in the pms. Seems like the newbies who don't post a price gets ransacked for not posting a price, but then it'll slide for members who were here longer or if the cue is more expensive. The rules need to be enforced so that everyone who breaks them is held accountable, not just the newbies. Great job! Glad to hear this section will be getting cleaned up.

I love those threads, especially the price check threads when we say $30-100, and the guys at the pool hall told him the cue was worth $2000.
Don't forget the cue ID thread with the meth pipe and feces in the pic.
I would be willing to give up valuable real estate in the WFS, just for some entertainment every once and a while.

I own/moderate the largest German billiards forum, Billard Aktuell.
There we have 3 full moderators including me and besides that, 1 guy for the technical side,
1 guy for the rules question section, 1 for the snooker section, 1 for the carom section and 1 guy that does the front page articles.

Now, AZ is around 10x larger then Billard Aktuell. 1 admin and 2 moderators (not couting chucklez) simply is not enough.

Nice job, Jerry. A lot of guys on here like to be forum police. You could take advantage of their motivation. You could put a sticky up and the forum police could just post a link to the offending bumpers threads. You could then review and delete them. It would save you a lot of time. Work smarter not harder!

This is getting funny but in my opinion which probably doesn't mean much haha. I have no problem with people posting what is my cue worth scammer beware and who made this cue type of threads in this section as long as the replys to the thread are sent via pm or text. I know of a lot of users on this forum that really never check the main forum ( me included) which would indicate to me there is more knowledge on wanted for sale forum than anywhere else and if all replys to that thread are sent by pm rather than the thread would not be over bumped anyways. As far as the exact 48hr rule. I know from my experience and keep in mind I only use my cell app but when I post a thread it tells me how many hours ago I posted but the next day it just says yesterday at the top and the following day it just says a date so I am not trying to remember every hour I posted each one of my threads if I wake up check my post and at too it say 2-23-14. And it is now 2-25-14 I am not trying to figure out which hour I posted each thread that is just getting little to tight on the rules.

A gun forum I belong to is this way.

+1.....the way it should be

For the ignorant minded _ssholes who post about this thread getting bumped an nothing for sale........DUH.

This thread was placed here for public service announcement purposes and as such, can be the #1 post on
page one for the rest of the
year if it gets jerks to stop writing stupid things already posted ...."this thread violates
its own rule....or....nothing 4 sale here....or......how many times has this thread been bumped already......?"

Please.......you only demonstrate why you don't deserve to be a member of the Forum......and the ironically sad
part is the vast majority of the posts that criticize this thread or post "dumbass" remarks....well, based upon what
I've read so far....it's the essentially from silver and bronze members who are "Gratis" members too.

Look, stop telling the Forum to do it differently, like locking threads etc. because this is a evolutionary process so let
things evolve. It's taken a long time to get to this point and let this rolling stone build its own momentum because by
the time it reaches the bottom of this mountain, i.e., subject, there will be more changes along the way. Don't tinker
with another person's solution, or approach unless, or until there's any sign or some real indication it's not working.

item sold, who cares

the threads that bump to announce the cue is sold should be deleted as well, they're ridiculous, just edit the original post, no need for senseless bumping if the item for sale is already gone

Did that really happen? Poop and pipe that is.

I dont see what the big deal is.

IMO, making a mountain over a mole hill.

But whatever.

And yes, I do agree with you Ken.

Even before there were any bumping limit rules, I always tried to wait a day in between bumps. And this was when it was normal for people to often bump their thread 2-3 times a day. Just being courteous to others on here.
