March 1 2013 I ordered a cue from Graciocues, I sent him a down payment of 100.00 he was suppose to make me a cue from a hoppe blank that I purchased from a friend that he had at his shop. He called me march 10 and said he was going on a trip and needed some additional money ident him 550.00 more the balance for the cue,April 25 he told me the cue was done but I would have to wait till he was able to get some money to ship it, i sent him 30.00 for shipping. He said he shipped the cue and gave me a tracking number after 2 day I called him and told him the package was in S Carolina he said he shipped to the wrong adders and that a guy named Barry Stewart would not return it and ripped of and that he would replace the cue with one he would make.now a year later he hasn't done anything.he has sold 3 cues on AZB and a lathe.I want him to answer me here on AZB.
 
If you want to get a time line look up a thread Barry Stewart stole my cue,by Graciocues,I also sent all the money through paypal, just hope Scott Gracio see the light.
 
You have his address, take a car, plane or train to his house and knock on the door. It's apparent this forum is not effective for getting him to respond. Perhaps even bring the local authorities with you to his house.
 
I'm starting to think ur cue was never stolen he might have sold it or something sorry this is happening too u
 
Basically you have to do what I did with my Zinzola issue. Go right to his house and let him know you are not playing games and give him an ultimatum. If that don't work just be sure to follow through on your end of the deal. Posting here and emails will get you nothing. I read the whole Barry stole my cue thing and I don't believe it, I think he either never built it or sold it on u
 
Good luck getting anything back. It sounds fishy that he didn't have enough money to ship your cue but could afford to go on a trip, well after you paid all the balance. Some Cue makers are starting to make people not want to buy a custom, dish out all that money and wait for months or years and then have to fight to get anything back, it's sickening.

where is he located? is it possible to get the law involved?
 
He is located in Spokane Washington, it's pretty far from Chicago,maybe some day I'll get up.
 
Paypal has a 45 day limit to file a claim it way past that now but if he doesn't answer me in a few more days I am going to inform paypal what has happened so they can put him on a watch list.
 
I just want the members of AZB to know what has happened so it doesn't happen to anyone else.and I am glad I didn't recommend Scott Gracio to anyone else. I can't help but hope Scott sees the light and does the honorable thing. I am 62years old,I have found as you live the only thing that you possess that someone cannot take from you is your honor only you have the choice of giving it up,I feel bad for Scott because he has given it up for a lousy 680.00 seem like a small amount for something of such great value.he has cheated himself and no one else. Word of wisdom from an old guy.
 
Can you imagine how Scott must feels, he is reading this forum and knows people that have shown him respect and friendship are reading this,he is afraid to answer me he may be trying to think up an excuse for himself he is mad and frighten at the same time mad at himself and frighten of what people must think of him.You see he will remember this for a long time. Even though he will say it doesn't matter somewhere in his life this is going to really bother him. So I am not mad I am sad for him.and sort of feel bad that I brought this to light but had no choice because if he got away with it once it would be easier next time and the time after and what if he did it to someone who save up for a couple of years or who has a wife that is not as understanding as mine.that is one of the reasons that it took me so long to seek him out not that I was patient.

This is really very sad, and from a past "cue of the year" maker, no less. :frown:

I sincerely hope he makes this right somehow.
