Gareth Potts vs SVB.. who wins?

Can you provide a list? The next ranked US player is Dechane at 34th.

Then you meant the USA has few players in the top 50 in the WPA rankings. Because that is a lot different than saying the USA has no world class players other than Van Boeing.

If for example the WPA tournaments which are used to determine rank were all held in the usa then the top 50 would be mostly Americans.

Are you going to provide a list of world class American players, then?

No need to.

Again if you're talking about ranking lists then have the events on US soil and the top 50-100 players would contain a lot of American names.

To be a world class player means you are at near the same ability level as the elite in pool. There are a lot of world class players in the USA.

Until such time as there is a viable tour that everyone can easily attend there is no rank list that determines who the all the world class are.

So none spring to mind then?

None roll off the tongue?

Come on. Give us three or four.. Just for kicks and giggles..

I'm curious, though. Are Mika, Daz, and Thorsten US citizens or are they still on Visa's/Green Cards? If they have decided to permanently live here, I'll add them to the list of World Class Americans.

Lol.

I wouldn't even rank SVB as 'world class'. He can play at world class level, but you cannot be considered world class until you have won a world title IMO. I have no doubt he'll become world class, however.

Do you have to play on American soil to determine who is world class?

You're sounding awfully like all those that attack you for conducting your business away from US soil...

Interesting stuff, although his delivery does remind me of Philomena Cunk.

I don't know who Home Leisure Direct are but I applaud what they are doing. I fear they don't like their money, though.

His coaching tips are quite interesting, although will offer little to the Brits. I'm sure Barton will get a huge kick out his aiming system, however. He's going to destroy Lou tomorrow with this gem.

No, it's simply a matter of representation. If there were more events here then more Americans would finish higher and thus the rankings would contain more of them.

Um, Shane has world titles, The US Open was a world ranking event, he won it.

But logically by your reasoning there are only a tiny handful of humans who would be world class because their are only a tiny amount of world titles to be won.

That's said Johnny Archer and Earl Strickland hold more of the world championship titles between them than any other pair of players from any country.

World class means being ABLE to compete at that level. Being ABLE to win matches at that level. Any player who has the skill to be dangerous at that level is world class.

And America has plenty of them.
