Complete table & rails jobs

I'm not trying to start a thread that has been pulled.....but GLEN....you and I have had this conversation over and over.
I tired of hearing you say....mark only does rails....and you do the whole table.
I have customers ship rails to me....CAUSE THEY WANT THEIR RAILS DONE AS CLOSE TO PERFECT AS I CAN MAKE THEM.

I set up tables as good as anyone in the world......when the jobs close enough to me....the customer won't let anyone but me do the COMPLETE TABLE.

My prices are higher than most...but I do a lot more work on one set of rails....than most do on the entire table.
My rails are never patched or pieced together......when I'm done with a set of rails....they look like they came from the factory.

When I restore anniversaries and centennials....no matter where the customer lives.....I deliver and set the table completely.

Glen....please don't act like I just do rail work...and then some yo yo installs the rails and recovers the table.

Trust me....I'm trying to locate top notch mechanics in the area of where I ship the rails back to the customer.

The last set of anniversary rails I shipped to Steve in Wisconsin.....Steve located Jerimy c
Chambers for the set up.....great choice.......now the guy has the best playing rails......a long with a great set up guy.

I know that table plays great....cause I've gotten to know Jerimy over phone conversations......and believe me.....he finishes the sentence I start talking about.
Jerimy is without question....a top notch all around mechanic.......he's prices are way to low....but that's up to him.

All IN ALL....THE MORRAL OF THIS STORY.......I CAN DO ANYTHING WITH ANY TABLE......START TO FINISH?

ah, but do you return customers money when you don't complete a job ;)
 
Would you keep a lot of someone else's money if you didn't complete the job
you agreed to doing ?
 
Pulling that thread makes me lose respect for this website. As an avid cue sport enthusiast with money to spend, I want to know who does the best work and who to avoid. It is pragmatic. If I can't glean real information here, then me and my dollars will go elsewhere. Just something for the owners\mods to consider. Perhaps the are tying to avoid a legal dilemma, and I understand that. I just hope that they give sufficient weight to other forum members interests.

I was in the middle of writing a post saying exactly that, and when I tried to
click submit reply it wouldn't let me.

I was saying he was trying to make the second part of what you predicted
(getting the thread removed) come true.

You were completely correct.

No one said you couldn't Mark, and what I said was the main differnce between us...most of your work comes from rails being sent to you....almost ALL my work comes from being at the job site, working on the whole table...not just the rails. If you can't see that difference between us then you're blind brother...we just talked about this on the phone just a little while ago. In fact, Kevin's rails is the only set of rails I've ever had shipped to me that I can remember in the last 10 years or so. I just don't stay anywhere long enough to be recieving rails being shipped to me anywhere. And if I did have rails shipped to me, in which I could if I wanted that exra business....how would that sit with the owner of the table that I'm already rebuilding?

Look brains, only a MOD or the OP can have a thread removed...so stick that where the sun don't shine. Now, the real question is...are all YOU dumbshits going to work on having THIS thread removed as well?
 
Bottom line is that Glen, in his own mind, is the God of pool table mechanics.

Knowing this, why did you take Kevin's rails and his $1,300 if this wasn't your forte? You should have referred him to Mark rather than take his money and offer false promises and timelines.

I find it hard to believe the thread complaining about RKC was removed. But I can't find it. I hope the moderators will explain why. One of the most useful aspects of this forum is hearing players offer their positive and negative experiences working with vendors. If we can't hear those experiences here, where will we hear them? From a magazine that takes advertising? No chance.

Who am I? I'm a bystander that realizes that every story has at least 2 sides and would like the whole story.

...and if I remember correctly the last one was removed as well.
