Picked up a new cue yesterday. It's not new, but it's in near new condition. Great time too.

This was one of the greatest days of my life , hanging out with Barry, playing pool on Gus's table.. Watching everything happen!
We talked about everything , from internet videos to cues, to construction techniques, tv shows, video games, Tai women...

And he'll I got to pee in Barry's toilet! (Yes I took pictures! ;)

LOL we had a 5 minute conversation about rubber bumpers!

I am still awestruck and I didn't buy the cue!!!!

Thanks again Ron for including me...
I loved every minute of the trip!

Grats again Ron! Enjoy your collection...
4 cues and a MONSTER!!!!

I was one of Barry's customers in 2006, but didn't get to visit his shop. Is there a sign-up list?

Great pictures. Beautiful cue. Congratulations! You will have fun with it.

i think the stars all alligned perfect and we were blessed with being so lucky this was possible.. and of course.. I have to thank Kenny Carfagno for putting it all together on the spur of the moment.. if anybody is looking to buy a cue especially a Szamboti.. he for sure is the person to talk to.. I highly recomend dealing with him!

Great pick up

Great color combo of the veneers. Enjoy the cue and memories of hanging out with two of the nicest guys around. Barry and Little Kenny are great host and I am sure the day will always be one to remember.

Kenny/Barry

Little Kenny set it up that morning and what an experience it was. That was the type of day in which you go home, sit down the next morning, and scratch about a half dozen items off your bucket list...

1.) Spend an afternoon with Barry at his shop. (check)
2.) Play straight pool on Gus's table. (check)
3.) Play straight pool using the first cue Barry ever made while your friend shoots with the 2nd cue Barry ever made. (check)
4.) Enjoy 20 minutes looking through many types of very old, very gorgeous wood while listening to Barry explain what species they are, what their best use is in a cue, which are his and which were "dad's"... (check)
5.) Leave for home with a genuine Szamboti sitting in the backseat. (check)
6.) Reflect back on it and realize that it was a pool-related experience that will never, ever be topped. (check)

As Chris mentioned, Little Kenny spontaneously put the trip together simply to show (and hopefully sell) a cue. What ended up happening was more memorable to us than a visit to Disneyland (thanks to Kenny and Barry). I have to say, reaching out to Little Kenny for a cue resulted in the most amazing experience in 35 years of pool for me.

Thanks Kenny!
Thanks Barry!
Thanks Leeroy Jenkins!!! Ha! - (inside joke!)
