Does any know where I can find Viking catalogs? There is an old Viking cue for on Craigslist but I would like to know more about. Mainly its age.

If that's a leather wrap it looks like it's in great condition, but the pictures aren't the best.
A leather wrap on an older Viking isn't original, IIRC.

You can check in ebay.com for old viking cues with comparable pricing. Check the features you want in your cue and buy!

The add says that it came with a table from the sixties. 40 dollars. I just thought it was old, I've had a newer Viking and didn't care for it but for for the asking price if it was older I'd take a chance if he will ship.

If you send pictures to Viking they will help you. I did the same thing a few years ago for a friend of mine who found an old viking in the back room of a bar.

This was my correspondence with Viking. I sent pictures to them and will post them if I can find them.

My email to them,
A friend of mine asked me to take some photos of an old Viking he has and see what information I could find out about it. It is a 4 point cue with no veneers, brass joint and it says The Viking Cue Company in the window above the buttcap. I can tell its a full splice and it looks to me like it has a nylon wrap. Its in kind of rough shape and the shaft is not playable but for its age the butt rolls better than most cues you can buy today. There is a chip in the buttcap and the black ring below the joint is loose but other than that, the butt itself is still in ok shape and would easily look new with a refinish.

Response from Viking,
After looking at your cue photos, and looking through our old literature, I can tell you this cue is almost as old as the Company! I'm going to say it would of been made in the late 1960's, because of how old it is, we don't have much more information.

I haven't seen a Viking this old in quite some time :)

If you have any other questions, let me know. I hope this information was helpful.

Best Regards,
Shawna Chancy
