Is it OK to grab balls after a game?

I played UPA league; last match of the season was Thursday, we started the night in 2nd place. My opponent, on 2 ocassions accidentally nudged the CB prior to intending to stroke. He looked at me, acknowledging he did so - good sportsmanship.

On both ocassions I said "It's ok, just move the CB back".

While watching a different match Thursday, an opposing team player miscued on a 9B break. The CB still had a little speed and was headed towards the one ball. The player poked his stick out and slapped the CB away just before contact. I don't know if that's a foul, only that our gentlemanly team didn't take exception.

It's a game. Now if someone is an ahole in my match, I'd be tempted to call it.

Absolutely....preferably your own......Sure, a tug or rub is fine.......they do it in baseball all the time.
But when it's your opponent's balls, then always make sure you twist and squeeze 'em hard as u can.

Anyone got the video of when Peach won the WPC? After the last 9-ball was sunk, he put his stick on the table while the cue was still moving around the table almost hitting his cuestick. It almost gave Gomez another chance. I don't know if Gomez would have called it though. I think it was the 2007 WPC.

Happened to me years ago. I juiced the CB on a straight in shot as to make it stop dead, but still spin like crazy. I grabbed the CB, and the opponent yelled foul. The ref came over, and asked if the CB was rolling when I picked it up, and I said no. He asked the captain of the other team, who was a friend of mine, if the CB was rolling, and he said technically no. The ref ruled no foul, and my friend smiled, and asked me to play nice :)
