Palmer Model L - The work of Lorena Bobbitt?

I was perusing my Palmer pics when I came across this set of Pics of a Model L or what was once a Model L.

This was advertised on the Baltimore area Craigslist last year. It started out as a Model L that the owner wished to shorten. Apparently after considering all of the options, he thought it best to cut 5 inches off the forearm and reattach the joint and pin.

Total destruction. I don't remember the exact asking price but I think it was ~$500 or so. Cheap for an L but still too much after paying a qualified cuemaker to make a new forearm.

I was wondering, did anyone on this forum happen to purchase this?

Don't ever post anything like that again.

Talk about making someone just sick at their stomach.

People are so freaking stupid. (Not you, the hack that did that to the cue)

UGH

So Ken,

Are you trying to deflect attention? Is this actually your work? :-)
