master vs predator vs blue diamond chalk

I use Blue Diamond because, well, just because. It lasts a long time because I put out Sportcraft on my table for my friends to steal. The Sportcraft lasts a long time because most of the guys won't bother taking it.

The poll hall I play at puts Masters chalk out at the tables, I like it, have used it for years but I also carry a couple cubes of blue diamond in my case, which for years is all I used before moving to the Fargo area. I just can't see spending the money on Kamuii chalk, it isn't for me, it's a great product but I would prefer to spend my money on something else. Main thing here is to keep your tip in good shape with a nice layer of chalk on it and it will be fine.

Thanks for the replies. I'm thinking i'll go with the master , just a hard sale to buy premium when I miscue so far and few between anyway... just looking for every edge, you know what I meen.;)

WAIT A MINUTE !!!

I'll never be a fan of 30 dollar chalk since part of my game is chalking between every shot.

But my favorite chalk, which seems to be like predator and blue diamond,
is TRIANGLE !!!
Much better than Master imo.

It was always sold by the gross as most reasonable chalk is.

I'm very surprized TRIANGLE was not mentioned.

I use solely blue diamond because I don't like looking like a smurf when I'm done playing. Functionally, they are all the same (to me) aside from the amount that gets on my body/shaft while playing.

My personal belief is that chalking before every single shot is the better way to attempt to stay in the zone/stroke.

I use Predator Chalk right now. I don't know about anyone else but take a look at the attached photo.

I would probably use Blue Diamond but I kind of like the shape of the Predator Chalk.

If you bought a vehicle with black seat belts you would not have this problem :bash:
I have tried just about every chalk and predator tastes the best.

The biggest difference that I've noticed is..

Predator chalk will keep rolling away on the floor if you drop it or knock it off of the table.

The predator 5 cube packs fit in your case better than a whole box of masters, so that's nice. I think it might be a little messier though.

Yeah, I believe it is a little messier, just trying to decide if it is more effective or not.

Hi guys and gals , I'm trying to decide whether to buy a gross ( 144 piece) of master or a couple tubes (10 pieces) predator chalk. I've never tried predator but I liked blue diamond and heard it's similar. I like master fine, but my reasoning is that I. Can keep myself in the zone little better if not chalking after every single shot. Am I over thinking or is this good logic?

After trying all the major chalk manufacturers on the market I've gone a full circle and am now using blue Master exclusively.
I usually play with a soft Kamui black on a 314 shaft and I'm nowhere close to having to chalk after every shot, and I can't remember when I miscued last.

But if you feel like spending the money then.......well....it's your money, go for it.
Blue Diamond is not bad and came close but for me Master did the trick, especially once you're a few layers into it.

This Predator chalk really smears in my hand and it takes a lot of effort to remove it. Hope there's no lead in it for your sake and mine. :D

I can't play worth a hoot without Predator chalk...Of course, I can't play worth a hoot with it, either.

I ended up getting some predator chalk. It is harder texture wise than my box of silver cup that came with my table. Feels like with the silver cup being soft that the predator chalk will last longer also

Yeah. Although Triangle is also made by Tweeten, I do feel Triangle is better than Masters.

triangle is a good chalk. it feels a bit "stickier" than masters. it is why i use it for harder tips and break tips as well; or when the pool room is dry or airconditioned.
it is very similar to blue diamond. masters chalk has a "drier" feel, and very suitable especially in very humid conditions here in PI.

Masters is drier. Whenever I eat some I always wash it down with a bottle of "Hanks Famous Water" still just a dollar.
