Best of the luck to everyone who joins this leage...but just an FYI, this is a heavy smoke poolroom. YMMV

Poolmouse you really need to get off Volcano's about any smoke there.

Your idea of what is to much smoke really is way off base. Besides you don't even go there anymore.
Why are you still trying to hammer the place? You say something negative every time there is a post about Volcano's.

And, besides that, most 14.1 matches are played during the day anyway.

Next time your are in DFW let me know... we can play some pool. I win, you stop posting about it.
You win and I'll take your side on the issue. Bet?

Randy the mouse dont bet. He *****es.
Good luck for your league season!
P.S. you are better without him.PERIOD.

Let's be fair to everyone. It's not about attacking or being negative.

Second hand cigarette smoke is a real concern. <-- We need to accept this

Hurst allows smoking in pool rooms, that's all that matters. Whether you can see 3 feet ahead of yourself, or if it's on person hanging out in the corner of the place puffing 1/2 a cigarette, matters not. Cigarette smoke is a carcinogen and one day Hurst will turn the page and BAN it.

Spinning this into some sort of attack is kind of like being in denial...and the victims are the very people you want to play in your tournament.

Look if Volcanos doesn't care, then just post "We allow smoking" and let the chips fall where they may. Trust me, smokers aren't going to care.

But don't keep non-smokers in the dark. Don't assume this isn't a concern to non-smokers. State it plainly. It's the right/fair thing to do.:)

PS, Not sure when I'd be in Dallas next, but happy to play you some.

poolmouse it's about being fair to Volcano's. I don't smoke and never have. If I had my way Hurst would ban smoking, but I don't. Second hand smoke is a concern. It should be to everyone.

But my point is that you are negative towards Volcano's by saying bad things in you posts. You don't post negative things about any other place. Just because you had a bad experience doesn't mean it's that way for anyone else. But you give the impression to everyone through your post that it's like that all the time. Which it is not.

Let play :)

Aside from letting everyone know that Volcanoes allows smoking, which is a fair warning to everyone, what negativity are you referring to? If warning everyone that they allow smoking is negative, you and I are on different pages.

Not sure when I'll be in Dallas again.

Well, after all of those comments........ any 14.1 league in the Dallas/Ft Worth area is a good thing. Yes, Volcano's does allow smoking which I wish that they did not but the smoke is not bad during the day hours just as other smoking places are. I have played in a good number of 14.1 seasons at Volcano's and never had a problem with the smoke during the day hours. That is when I would set up all my matches. Anyways, I am thinking about coming back to play in this up coming season. Thanks for posting this.

Mike it is good to know you are still playing!
You must drive about 80 miles round trip to play?
That is some dedication! Is Guernsey still playing?

Hi Jack, good to hear from you. The drive is longer than 80 miles round trip but I do it all the time just to play in the Dallas 8-Ball League, just a different direction. As for Guernsey, he hasn't played in the 14.1 league in a while. I have not played in well over a year now. Guernsey plays in the Dallas 8- Ball League.
